Total bummer of a place. Husband and I ate there for the first and last time last night and it was not a great experience at all. The atmosphere is dry, no music, awkward, tables are in a hallway leading to the bathroom. They “ran out of burgers” after my husband ordered his with the waitress. She came to tell us they ran out probably 20 minutes after we initially placed our order right as we were expecting the food to come out. Next he ordered the chicken sandwich with 2 sides instead. It took our food approximately 45 minutes to come out (the restaurant has probably 10 total tables and was mostly empty when we were there). Only 1 side came out with his sandwich to which he informed our waitress. She acknowledged it and said she would bring the other side out. She never brought it. All of the ketchup bottles were empty on the tables. I was mid bite of my pasta about 10 minutes into having our food on the table when the waitress comes up and hands us the little iPad and boldly says “are you ready to pay?” To which my husband had to put down his sandwich and wipe his hands to grab his card to pay right then and there. About 15 minutes later we are finishing our food and the waitress walks by and asks if we need a box to which I said “yes, I will take one thank you”. She walked past our table another 2-3 times and never brought a box for my half eaten pasta. Such a WEIRD experience. Will...
Read moreMy recent visit to Lakeside Bar and Grill was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service and atmosphere made it clear we were in for a great experience.
We started with two appetizers: the cauliflower steak and the chipotle raspberry chicken wings. Both were delicious — the cauliflower steak was perfectly seasoned, and the wings offered a unique sweet-and-spicy kick that stood out.
For our entrees, we had the grilled filet (medium rare) and the shrimp Cajun Alfredo pasta. The steak was cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with fresh asparagus and a medley of squash, zucchini, and onions. The pasta dish was rich, flavorful, and loaded with shrimp — a comforting yet elevated plate.
Our server, Olivia, was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. We also had the pleasure of interacting with Inicia, who provided excellent customer service, and Lydia, another server who ensured every table was well cared for. Even the owner, Randy, took the time to greet us, adding a personal and welcoming touch to the evening.
The drinks were fantastic as well, rounding out what was an all-around amazing dining experience. Highly recommend Lakeside Bar and Grill — great food, top-notch service, and a welcoming team that clearly cares about...
Read moreTiny Place, Huge Flavor Lakeside Grill in Little Elm is one of those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spots — only about 40 seats total — but dang, the food and drinks go hard.
The real MVP? That cucumber mint margarita. Fresh, light, and honestly one of the best drinks I’ve had in a long time. I’d come back just for that.
Food-wise, we tried: • Cajun pasta with blackened salmon — creamy, spicy, and full of flavor. Absolute winner. • Eggplant parm — cheesy, cozy, and perfectly saucy. • Ribeye steaks — thinner than expected but still tasty, especially when paired with those ridiculously good Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. • Citrus cream chicken — bright, zesty, and super tender.
Service was great, the vibe was chill, and everything came out fresh and hot. If you like supporting small local spots that do food right, this is your sign to check it out.
