As a senior I had meniscus knee surgery which several months later required total knee replacement. This is an extremally painful surgery with a long recovery. I followed with PT at a very large hospital affiliated facility where I was lost within a sea of therapists and patients. My care consisted of a few exercises on my own and a pat on the back after 45 minutes and a "see you next time." My knee was developing a permanent bend which was painful to walk and caused a limp. I was told I would just have to live with it as they could do nothing to help me.... Then I was recommended to AIM Orthopedics in Little Falls. I had my Dr write a new script and met with Shannon who is a Doctor of Physical Therapy as is the other therapist there. Shannon evaluated my condition and proceeded to tailor a course of action specific to my needs... The personal attention I received from the beginning of my sessions to the end was nothing less than monumental. With a concentration on massage with manipulation and properly monitored exercises my knee bend is steadily improving and I'm encouraged I will be able to walk normal once again without pain. In my life I've been to several other Physical Therapist however never have I received such care. There is s significant difference in treating with a Doctor of Physical Therapy as Shannon is. She has knowledge of the body's systems and is trained to recognize movement impairments and manage pain. I'm thankful for Shannon and feel improvement with each session. If your in need of PT I whole heartedly recommend AIM with a staff of Doctors of...
Read moreI am rehabilitating from arthroscopic rotator cuff (and related tears) surgery and have been working with Dr. Brooke Aldrich at the Little Falls location. She is absolutely phenomenal in every way - her knowledge and expertise, encouragement, clear articulation of therapy goals and outcomes is exceptional. She read my MRI giving clear guidance and interpretation. In addition to progressing in my PT, I feel grateful, motivated and that I have learned a great deal on the whole "physical phenomenon". In addition, the entire staff is professional, kind and welcoming, and the facility is spotless, bright and airy and stocked with state-of-the-art equipment. While surely no one wants to experience injury or pain, if you do, AIM is where you want to go for help, healing, (actually a bit of fun, too!) and support!...
Read moreI have rehabbed at AIM for two physical problems. The first was in readiness for a knee replacement. I worked with the doctors here for two months ahead to strengthen my knee. After the replacement I rehabbed 3 times a week for almost 4 months. My knee is great - 3 years later I have no pain and can do everything. Two months ago I experienced neck pain. I spoke with my doctor and agreed that rehab would help me. I am still recovering from physical pain caused in part by poor posture. My pain is much better and so is my posture and the mobility in my neck. This facility has a positive environment and works with all their patients to improve the quality of their lives. I receive the full hour of treatment with one on one attention. Dr. Raffaele Lagonigro works with patients as well as other...
