Arkansas Korean War Veterans Memorial — Attraction in Little Rock

The physical memorial itself is beautiful, impactful, and an interesting place for a quick stop (or dog walk) if you’re in the area. The 3 stars is only for the state of the area surrounding it and the lack of care/maintenance (3/2023). Paths were closed or led to nowhere, confusing entrances/exits, trash on the ground, etc. again, Memorial and all the historic information was amazing. (You’d be amazed how much you can learn if you begin to consciously stop and read all the signs and diagrams around us at sites like these! haha). A joint project between the state of Arkansas and the Korean government, this beautiful monument does not just honor Arkansans, but all American soldiers and Korean civilians who lost their lives during the Korean War. It is a wonderful piece of art, though it is ironic that it’s located next to Douglas MacArthur’s house considering that was the war that got him booted from the Army. It’s in a convenient location for students of UALR Law to visit, so I recommend stopping here as well as the adjacent house...
