Learn moreDesigning Women-WOW what a disappointment!! The show aired for seven seasons. It was funny and tackled some sensitive and big issues at the time but did it with class and humor. Every now and then, a president would be mentioned but it was comical, lighthearted and it was not constant. Even when Suzanne Sugarbaker left the show, it struggled but it was still pretty good. I was hoping they would touch on some of the old hilarious episodes but no, they went straight political every twenty seconds and it started thirty seconds into the play and never stopped.
Sadly, it was not entertaining because the main topics were COVID and a former president. I rather not pay $75.00 a ticket to hear these two topics for two hours. I would not recommend to anyone if you are thinking this play will be along the same lines of the hilarious television show because it is not. Save your money and watch Designing Women on Hulu.
Harry & Linda Bloodworth Thomason, what happened?? So much hate spewed here.
The theater and stage for this production, five stars!!!! Probably not a bad seat in the house in...
Read moreI have so many amazing memories of my family having season tickets to The Rep when I was growing up, but I haven't been in probably 20 years. My partner and I went to see Into The Woods last night (my hands-down favorite production growing up), and I think I was smiling the whole night. The place is updated and well-designed, the production was first-rate, and everyone was friendly and helpful. I LOVE the smaller venue because you are close to the stage no matter where you sit.
I don't have the funds right now to return and see Into The Woods with my oldest daughter (our youngest is 4, otherwise I'd take him, too!) but I wish so much that I could. It would make for an unforgettable night and a new generation of memories.
Somewhere down the road, we'll give our kids the gift of going to The Rep. It's a true landmark in Little Rock! I can't recommend it...
Read moreMy family most recently experienced "Peter and the Star Catchers." OMG! the talent and the production value was amazeballs! We laughed so hard we cried, and we cried too. We were lucky enough to be in the front row and many times the actors seemed like they were performing just for us. All of the productions I have seen here have been beautiful art pieces come alive on stage. Theatre Is Not Dead! The Rep is a place to have an experience that you just can't get...
