Camp David Restaurant — Restaurant in Little Rock

WARNING - THEY HAPPILY PRICE GOUGE YOU. We've been there twice now. The first time was decent food at a fair buffet price. The second time we went was on Mother's day a few weeks later...this trip was noticeably different. The buffet was consistently empty, with it taking several tips to see if they'd restocked a meat or main dish, and the overall quality of the food was well below mediocre. The pain came when we recieved our ticket and saw the price was DOUBLE what it was just a few weeks prior. When I asked the owner, he happily informed me that there was a "superior buffet" for major holidays which justified the insane price hike. I complained that the buffet was extremely lacking and consistently empty, and he noted that that was their fault but the new price wasn't and charged me anyway. My major complaint is that there was NO indication of the holiday price anywhere on the premises and it was never told to us until we recieved our bill. LOVED Kelley! We were not guests in the hotel, but needed a late night dinner. So happy we came in. Such an awesome and welcoming greeting. It's not usual for a 24 hour hotel restaurant bartender/waitress/table cleaner, to be so happy to see us. While the hotel was out of so much of the food we actually came for, Kelley directed us as to what was best on the menu, and it was. My Cobb salad was huge, fresh and the chicken was so tender. My husband got the Tuscan chicken sandwich which he said was delicious. The extra grilled red peppers really made the meal. We have never seen a Server work quite as hard, with a smile on her face. This place is horrible. i ordered the burger. it came to me burnt to a crisp and the fries were under done to the point they were cold. It looked as though they took the frozen fries and droped them in the greese for a secoond and took them out. Cold and covered with greese. This place is also over priced. I think they feel they can charge so much because there is not a resturant any where close to the hotel. My advice, order out or get the hotel shutler to take you to the river market. Agian, THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE
