Handle Barbershop — Local services in Little Rock

After my experience, I strongly do not recommend this barbershop. While I can’t comment to the quality of any of the barbers’ skills or to any experience as a walk in customer, my review will be primarily based on their accountability and professionalism.

I reached out to this barbershop greater than 45 days before my wedding to book a barber to come to our venue and provide cuts and shaves for my groomsmen on the day of the wedding. I was assured by a barber this would be no problem and we exchanged information.

Over the next couple weeks, I spoke with this barber and his manager/supervisor, Lane, several times. We confirmed the date, location, and number of people to receive haircuts. I asked for a quote and was told I could not receive one at that time because they would need to discuss the final pricing with each other first. I then got each of them in touch with one of my groomsman to assist in the process moving forward.

3 days before my wedding, I received information from my groomsman that the barbershop says they will be unable to perform our already agreed upon services.

When I reached out to Lane to discuss how this happened, he was rude, short tempered, and lied about our prior conversations, stating barbers were never going to come to our venue, the number of people was vague, and that we did not pay to lock down the appointment. I reminded him that all of this information was relayed via our phone conversations and text messages between both Lane and our barber (which I still have; they clearly eliminate any vagueness or confusion) and the reason why it was not already paid in full was that we never received the quote, even if though we asked for it several times. I asked him to review these messages, to which he refused. Lane continued to deny any and all accountability and hung up on me.

I then spoke with our barber, who confirmed the date, location, and number of people were never in question. In addition, he confirmed we had never been given a quote despite asking for one. Thus, we had not even been given the opportunity to pay for their services. He also agreed that both he nor Lane had taken any initiative to reach out despite there being apparent confusion on their side.

Had my groomsman not reached out to them again, they simply would not have shown up on the day of the wedding.

Once again, my review is based upon professionalism and dependability, both of which appear to be nonexistent at this business. They may be fine for a quick walk in hair cut, but I certainly wouldn’t trust them with...

I received a good cut from Devin and she was friendly. She trimmed my beard well and cut my hair. There was no hot towel, but it’s mid summer I’m not too worried about that. Overall experience was positive. The only reason they didn’t get 5 star was when I first arrived. The code didn’t work and someone looked at me and eventually opened the door when I just stood there. They didn’t greet me warmly or welcome me in. They just said “do you have an appointment “? Maybe they were having an off day. The area isn’t great, so I can’t blame them for not wanting a door that freely opens. Cool atmosphere. I might be back, but I may try some other locations before then, just to see how they are. The market is saturated and there are tons of spots. The parking on street corners and having to pay 5 bucks to park for an hour across the street and the initial impression are reasons why I’ll consider other...

What can I say about the best barber shop in good ol Little Rock. First off how can you not walk in just from looking at the shop. The windows stretch across the whole shop giving it a very welcoming atmosphere. You walk in and the ascetic of the shop just grabs you. The lay out is perfect relax on the couch or the chairs while waiting for your cut. Listen to the good music flowing through the shop or the conversations.. because that’s barbering at its best. There’s nothing like a flow of conversation throughout the shop while your in the chair whether with your barber or the client next to you just a great vibe all around. The cuts I mean come on... choose your guy! Each style or haircut you want there’s a barber there that fills your needs. All in all one of the best shops in south. And one of the best up and coming shops look out these guys are...
