Upon arrival, the front desk clerk asked for my ID and a credit card to put on file. Then she tried to charge me for my room (2 night stay), that was already paid for in full, in advance. It was a strange start, but she was kind and realized her mistake, and apologized. She handled the situation well. My last day there was today, Sunday 3/17/24. I took my two children downstairs around 9:30am to put our large suitcases in my car, and then we went back in to eat breakfast. The staff that handles the breakfast is Very pleasant and we enjoyed them all, especially the older woman (I didn't catch her name). I did not yet check out of my room, and I put the Do Not Disturb sign on the outside door handle to alert staff I am not yet checked out, do not disturb. I left our water bottles in the mini fridge, our toiletries bag (so we could brush our teeth after breakfast), a Walmart sack full of our snacks for the road, and my purse, and my glasses. We returned to our room shorty after 10am, and I noticed the house keeping cart outside of my room doorway #502. The house keeper was in my room, and had already cleaned the entire bedroom and living room space, she was finishing up the bathroom. While we were downstairs eating, she entered my room. I found my glasses inside of my purse, which means she opened my purse to put my glasses in there. She threw away all of our water bottles in the fridge, and she threw away our tooth brushes that were sitting in cups near the bathroom sink. She has my bag full of snacks on her cart. She tried to give me one of the water bottles back, that I'm assuming she retrieved from the trash. I refused the water bottle and asked her what she was doing in my room. I showed her the Do Not Disturb sign and told her that this means you Do Not enter my room. This is absolutely unacceptable. My privacy was breached, andy personal space was violated. I collected what was left of my things, and my children and I proceeded to the front desk to check out. I told the front desk woman what happened, and she gave me a business card with Jessica's name on it. She told me to call tomorrow, because Jessica wasn't in today. She also then told me that this happens all the time. Maybe this is a good opportunity to fire people who violate the privacy of your customers, and the practice of your establishment. I want to know how you can fix this. I want to be compensated in some way, and I want management to contact a.s.a.p.. I hope that when I call tomorrow, I actually get to speak...
Read moreWe stayed for 4 days and the desk staff and maintenance gentlemen were all very nice and did everything they could to make this a great experience. On the first night the AC fan was going out and making a noise. The hotel was booked with no other rooms available. The next day, maintenance came and changed the fan. The room never recovered from being exposed to the outside heat for 20 minutes, so there must have been something wrong with the new fan as well. So, at 11:00PM we were able to change rooms. The new room quickly cooled down. The only issue with this room is someone had been smoking marijuana prior to our arrival and it took two days for the smell to clear. Now on a good note: Monica did everything she could to help us and the whole time with a smile and a positive attitude. Of course one can only imagine how busy she was on the first night with a sold out hotel. On the night we moved she was by herself at the front desk and had a steady stream of people checking in. It was too much for anyone to ask for her to handle all of this: new arrivals, a lobby full of people with questions and me with my problem. She maintained a level head and positive attitude and made me feel heard. When the room smelled and I was concerned that we would be charged for smoking, she came as soon as she could with a room freshener spray and assured me that she would look at who had the room the night before and note that it was not us. Thank you Monica! Also, the next day when I realized that I had left something in the previous room, I returned to the front desk in a little of a panic. Monica was over course once again helping a line of people and answering the phone. This time thankfully she had some help because it was business hours. Asia stepped up to help me, checked on housekeeping, obtained access to the room and escorted me up. What I left was laying right there where I expected. Thank you to Monica for handling everything and treating me as a valued guest. Thank you Asia for helping me quickly find my left behind bag. NOTE: A huge thank you to both of them for treating my service dog as a valued...
Read moreBooked this hotel based on the reviews. It is a great place to stay. Easy off/on interstate, clean, front desk super friendly, ran into a couple of housekeepers that were very friendly, room was clean, bedding very nice, bed comfortable, bathroom super clean, towels were large! (I say that because I am not a tiny woman, and I like a good large towel!) Hallways were very clean, no stains that we saw. Now, we come down to the nit picking! When I saw that they had a lounge/bar, I was excited! I thought "We can go down, have a couple of cocktails, and enjoy ourselves." Well, it's not like a typical lounge/bar. It's near the front desk, yes you can sit around the "bar" and have a beer, wine, or cocktail, but not what we expected. It's open to where people see you and stare at you while they check in! However, you could probably go sit elsewhere and enjoy your libation. A couple of beers on tap, selection of bourbon was good, didn't check out the wine. Then, restaurant, not a restaurant per se! You order at the bar, and when you get your food, you can sit at some tables that are available, again at the sight of everyone coming to check in. Or, sit elsewhere, out of view. We ordered food to be delivered to our room. Menu consists of burgers, wings and strips, pizza, couple of hoagies, drinks. Now, for the breakfast. They list it as a breakfast buffet, it really isn't, in the sense of the word. It is a regular "Continental" breakfast with the usual suspects. Not real eggs, the sausage was wayyy overcooked, very hard, like they were from two days ago. Biscuits were decent, gravy, not so great. They only have one waffle maker which makes small thicker waffles, I think it makes three or four, I never got any because it was always in use, and people were waiting forever! Oj, coffee, yogurt bagels, toast, etc. It was just OK. I was glad for the convenience of it all! We didn't feel like going out after driving 8 hrs. So, all in all, it not a bad thing, just needs to be clarified that it is not what you might think it is. We will definitely stay here again. Good...
