As visitors from an area without much water, our kiddos were incredibly impressed with the way the playground is made by mixing playground equipment with native stone right next to the river. Climbing stone walls, lots of tunnels, an intricate rope ladder, and a tube slide are all surrounded by padded flooring. The park has a view of/is connected to the Junction walking bridge, and Little Rock's famous little rock is also on site. A few cool pavilions with picnic tables, a splash pad (currently closed for winter), a vine covered walkway, and a few interesting pieces of art, too. There was wide variety of ages, and all seemed to be having a great time. We visited on a Sunday and the parking was free, but not sure about other days of the week. We were close enough to restaurants and bars to pop in for lunch, but the River Market was not an option due to it being Sunday. Read moreAbsolutely revolting. The main playspace is covered with litter and random pieces of garbage. If I were a father, I wouldn't want my kids going down any of the tunnels that are the namesake of the entire park (God knows what goes on under there at night). What finally convinced me to leave was seeing actual human vomit underneath the large slide (though I was already contemplating leaving early after seeing human feces at the play area outside the Marriott right next door). Won't be coming back...

If you’re looking for a place to take the kids near the Arkansas River, this is it! Be cautious of running through tunnels as you may hit your head but our toddler, and two older boys did great navigating this playground. There are port-a-potties near the parking...
