I usually go there for conventions so I don't get to see much more than the lecture halls. The amenities are great, we get to use their chairs which are pretty comfortable. We set them up and take them down. Our particular contract also calls for us to clean the lead ture hall, the bathrooms and anything else we use. Contracts for the use of lecture halls can be made where your group doesn't have to do the grunt work. I have seen parts of the exhibits that are there when we aare there during lunch. The art they have is very good, both pictures and statues. The hotel that is attached is very posh. I've not been in a room there, but I know people who have and they've said the rooms are great. The also have valet parking which I have used and it's great. They saved me a great deal of frustration by parking my car and bringing it back when I'm ready to leave. It's easy to find. For those of you who have and will use GPS, OnStar, or Google Maps it's a cinch, just enter Satehouse Convention and that should bring up the map. (I use Google...
Read moreThe establishment was very nice and spacious for the event that we attended. My only suggestion is as follows: Please consider updating your chairs to chairs that have armrests and/or plush cushions. My reason for suggesting this is because the chairs were very uncomfortable to sit in for the extended amount of time that we used the chairs. The bathrooms were nice and as modernized as they could possibly be. I also enjoyed that the seating area was 1 level. Also keep in mind that parking near the Statehouse Convention Center is very limited, throughout the week, unless you park in the parking garage. On the weekends you can utilize the parking spots on the street because there isn't a parking...
Read moreI have attended the AHA conference speaker that includes the AHAA conference attendees for about 10 years. Last year I found the changed layout, which included some round tables, interesting. This year with fewer tables I wished they had none at all and more aisles separating the rows so we would not have to climb over as many people if you wanted to get in and out. Last year they had a lovely jazz band that made me want to get up and dance. This year it looked a like the same band but I didn't want to dance, I wanted earplugs. It was just TOO LOUD to even tell if I liked it. The speaker was clear, everything seemed clean and working with the facility, we got in easily and the area...
