Lovely area, right next to the river. Plenty of art to view, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Plaques and displays in many different areas give a lot of great information about the history of the area. The playground is honestly one of the most unique and interesting ones I've ever seen. A rock climbing wall, the tunnels right into the large stones that make up part of the landscape make it very authentic and rustic. The biggest issues I've seen are: there are not many bathrooms around...at all. In fact, I believe there is just one port a potty located closer to the Broadway Bridge side entrance. That being said, it is handicap accessible and very clean. The other issue there are a fairly high number of homeless citizens staying in and near the park. Homelessness discussion aside, most of them are very polite, friendly and respectful people from every encounter I've had. But there are some who will sleep in or near main walkways, literally on top of art displays and on benches throughout large parts of the day. The same people often leave behind belongings they no longer want along with trash, including old food, clothing items and medical waste. And to be blunt, there are several areas on and immediately adjacent to the main walks that reek of stale urine. The city is pretty quick to clean up most of the trash that gets left behind but they can only do so much. LRPD do a great job of patrolling the parking lots often. But during the time I've spent there, I have seen very few on foot or patrolling within the park itself. Not to say it doesn't happen often, this is just my experience. Overall, I really like this place. It's got great views, lots of historical information to learn, a cool, laid back atmosphere and I've never felt unsafe in these areas even at night (despite the issues I spoke of in the...
Read moreThis is a great spot to visit for some history of Little Rock as you walk along the river. You also have the opportunity to stop by the local shops and eateries just a short distance away from the park. This is a great area to take pictures. The family will enjoy the walk and there is a park gym that the children can play on When it is warm to hot outside there is a splash fountain or park that the kids can play in and run through. This is centrally located from several hotels and restaurants nearby and other local attractions. The Museum of Discovery is nearby for the...

Slides and ladders and more. Plus the splash pad! And the statues and sculptures in the area are interesting and seem to capture the spirit of Arkansas. Excellent place to go walking. And don’t forget to go in the River Market building and try some of the vendors there. International and local foods and a great indoor...
