I want to say this first.
I noticed multiple replies about how they help the community when customers have been complaining of the pricing of clothing. They offer you to round up when helping veterans housing which is appreciated. Goodwill should match donations. It doesn't seem like they care about pricing fairly based on quality or brand. Also helping the community should also mean helping the community that are in need of clothing and those that come to you before going to Walmart or shopping clearance even at Meijer in town. Helping the community should also be helping those who shop and support you, take into consideration the fact that most shop goodwill because of income, not to support your cause although we do appreciate your contribution after paying employees and CEOs
Hands down better than Petoskey Goodwill. I frequent them both. It would be nice to see the children's clothing prices a bit lower, especially since they are mostly worn and not a lot of good brands. The baby clothes start at 3.99 ( I'd rather purchase new from walmart) I've been to many Goodwills in Michigan and worked as an assistant manager at one down state, these are the only 2 that don't have the colored tag sales each week or sales in general.
The kids' toys are normally 3.99 unless unique. I'd say a good deal. Tons of women's clothing. A good variety of movies and books!
They also have some cute home decor as well.
All around 8/10 for finding something...
Read moreOn a bus trip thrifting, our bus stopped here. One of our passengers needed to use the ladies room. The restroom door was propped open and she assumed it was being cleaned, so we walked around the store for a few minutes. We checked back in and the door was still open. We could see feet under one of the stalls, and she really had to go. I said, "go ahead....I'll stand here in the doorway." A minute later a young male came out....he must hv been cleaning. He hollered at us for coming into the restroom! He shouted at us. I told him to calm down, she just needed to use the facility....he continued yelling and telling us to leave. As we walked out of the store, two employees in the front were glaring at us. It was very uncomfortable. He must have messaged them. I've NEVER been treated so disrespectfully! I'll never return...
Read moreThis Goodwill is Awesome!! They offer a great selection that is organized so well that it's easy to find the items you are looking for. The store is very neat and tidy. The thing that was truly impressive and sets this location apart from other local Goodwill stores is the staff. The ladies were kind, helpful and courteous not just to customers but also to each other. The manager was working amongst her staff and helping them in a respectful manner. I had a return with a receipt within the return timeframe and with the help and guidance of her manager my cashier was able to make the transaction smooth and fast. The store in my own town balks at returns and I assume it is due to the availability of a manager. This retail store and it's staff are top notch! Great Job Ladies! Keep up the excellent...
