I was traveling from Mackinac Island, MI to Detroit, MI, in order to catch a flight back home to Austin, TX. I stopped at the Five Guys for a quick meal on our road trip. The food was delicious as always, however this review is not about the food. I left my purse in the restroom, and proceeded to drive 3 hours to Detroit to catch my flight. It wasn't until I arrived at the airport that I realized my purse was at the Five Guys, and that my wallet, sunglasses, apartment and car keys, among other valuables were in Gaylord, MI. I immediately called Five Guys, who had immediately noticed I left my bag and placed it in a secure location. They indicated they were waiting for my return, but I explained my situation. I spoke to General Manager, Mike, who offered to ship my belongings from Michigan to Texas. He would not accept my money, and went out of his way to ship my belongings across the country. I'm so thankful for Mike, and the kind folks at Five Guys in Gaylord. While I'm not sure I'll ever find myself driving through Gaylord again, I'm a loyal Five Guys fan and so thankful for Mike going above and beyond for...
Read morePlum Hollow Country Club remains my preferred first class facility. Deciding to take my Mother to Plum Hollow was the correct decision. Billy at the front door is exceptional. He and his team are top notch. The General Manager came and introduced himself to us and was very welcoming. We have the ability to visit the club thanks to my late Father's sacrifice and gift of his time as a Past President. I live 4 hours north and had to leave my junior membership behind as part of my location. It was not my preference to not continue my membership. I am proud to be a 4th generation member as my Father's Grandfather was a founding member. I was on the swim team and tennis team and some of the swim meets and tennis tournaments with other clubs are most of my most fond memories. I will include a membership in my future if I ever am able to spend more time in the area. Thank you for having us and the experience was moving and life changing for my Mother and I. Thank you Plum Hollow and the entire team for providing exactly what my expectation if not beyond.
Sincerely Matthew Russ Sr....
Read moreI had my first and maybe last visit to a Five Guys restaurant. The burger tasted good, but not $12 good. The fries were the saltiest fries I've ever had, and nearly the oiliest. Also not worth the price. One small burger, one regular burger, two fries and one medium drink cost $42!
They put my burgers on bottom, then fry containers next to those, but then dumped a ton more greasy salty fries over the top of everything, completely burying my food. It made all my wrappers and containers greasy and salty, and made my bag extremely saturated in oil. I couldn't set the bag anywhere in my car except on the floor.
This seemed normal, so I'm guessing this is just normal service for Five Guys. It's crazy! I might be tempted to buy a burger again, but I'll never get fries again, or really anything else. Their prices are insane. Also, the "regular" burger is a double, and it's greasy. Stick with their small burgers, since it's just a single regular sized patty. Their menu doesn't...
