Unbelievable experience! We have damaged cabinets installed with a $200 gift card issued. We had deliveries with cabinets missing. We had cabinets to damaged to use. We have mismatched cabinets due to them being sold out while we waited for return, refund, reorder. And today I found out my last cabinet was returned and refunded by the Gaylord store due to not fully listening to me. We bought flooring, drywall, lumber, doors, lights and everything that goes along with those items last year. This year we bought kitchen cabinets, lumber, lights, benches, appliances and everything that goes along with those jobs. In early May we had taken three weeks off and scheduled help to finish our house. Today because my cabinet was canceled and sent back due to not Fully Listening to me we sit still unable to finish the floor and install the last cabinet. When I called the store today to see if it had arrived I found out this had taken place. After explaining this to the assistant manager, she confirmed that is what I had asked to be done. (Top about to blow) I am waiting to hear back from the district manager now. Last Friday as I was passing through I stopped to see if myorder had arrived. I was told it would be there on Monday. Monday afternoon I drove 100 miles round trip to get my cabinet and it wasn't there. After shopping I decided I would buy a larger cabinet in exchange for the one that wasn't there. Explaining to the manager I would build out the wall 3 inches. As I only had three days left to finished this job. He told me because I ordered it online, he couldn't do that. I would need to cancel that order and buy the new one. I told him let's do that. He said he couldn't cancel it while in transit. I could buy that cabinet and return the one when it arrives. I paused and said so there is nothing you can do for me today? No. I paused again and said I guess the job will have to wait again, I'll go home and wait for delivery, turned and walked away leaving the larger cabinet there. My cabinet came in at 1:30 AM Tue morning it was canceled and returned by 8 AM. When I called this morning to see if it had arrived so I could pick it up, I learned this. No one called me to confirm before doing this. So here I sit waiting to reorder again! I only wanted to cancel the order upon his suggestion so I could leave with a cabinet to get the job done. I left with no cabinet saying I would wait for delivery. He took that information and without me present returned my order???

We decided to go with the LifeProof flooring installed by the Home Depot o Gaylord, which subcontracts the flooring jobs to Andersons Installation Services (AIS) in Grayling for my area. We absolutely love the floor and recommend the product itself to anyone. Our flooring job was ordered the first week of August and was over $10k which we were prepared for, but Home Depot forgot to order our materials for 2 weeks after we signed our deal. After confirming the materials had actually been ordered, and AIS recieving them almost another 2 weeks after that, AIS placed our install date the 2nd week of September (Install was originally supposed to be 2 weeks from our order date). Home Depot under-supplied several materials for the installer. We also had carpet installed, installers showed up to install carpet, claimed their vacuum was "broken" so they couldn't do a finish vac when they were done, AND didn't install the base. It took another week to get the installer back out to finish the job From the order day to the day the installers left, we had nothing but hassle. It was impossible to get through the phone lines just to talk to a store manager. HD and AIS completely dropped the ball. The only good aspects of this whole experience was our satisfaction with the product, and the hardwood installer from AIS in Grayling, AJ, was excellent and he did our whole upstairs flooring beautifully and BY HIMSELF. Read moreIf you want a good store to buy stuff from, I am going to warn you to not go to Home Depot to do it. The one in Gaylord is especially bad. If you have a Pro account and spend enough money to buy a house there, none of that matters.
I bought an AC that sounds like a locomotive and called them to return it. It is past the regular 7 day return window, but if it is purchased under a Pro Account then you get 365 days unless it’s under the exceptions list. ACs are not under that list. I got to argue with a customer service lady for about 15 minutes on the phone before I decided to come in. The manager gave an in store credit, said a cash refund was too difficult. When I brought up that customer service lady, I was told he can’t do anything if I can’t recall specifics of all of the past incidents I had with her. In fact he said she was vital to their operations service desk and he needs her. Basically, nothing would be done.
