Honestly, I was a cashier for almost 10 years. Customer service is the most important thing for this position. COVID was years ago, no more social distancing while paying. Then why can not the employees greet you, bag or try to help you? I just purchased a glass candle holder. She just rang and went to the next customer. The cashier just handed me newspaper that I had to ask for to protect my product. I asked nicely aren't you going to enclosed it for me to protect it? Yet they make double what we did years ago? Customer satisfaction is the most important thing in a retail chain. No satisfaction, no sales. Then no business.

Some "dollar" stores sell things for more than $1.00, but not here- every single item I bought was one dollar each. Many things (like soap, razors, pens, food, etc.) are name brand items. Other things (mugs, candles, cookware, etc.) are the same quality, or the same item, as is sold for 3x, 5x, even 10x the price. The store is big & well layed out, and pretty well maintained, although on busy shopping days it can get a bit chaotic. Also, there are large sections of the store dedicated to party goods and seasonal items (everything you'd need to throw a Halloween party, for example, except the costume).
