I did not like or expect to be bitten by bugs and then given the run around about the situation of theatre show room 12. On 9/22/15 in showroom 12. At marina pacifica of long beach. The moment I set foot into the showroom my party and I noticed a few rows taped off with caution tape. Thinking that maybe there were a few broken seats, ceiling leak or maybe these rows just weren't cleaned we took a detour to seat higher than the roped off areas. A few minutes into the show I noticed my back being irritated, thinking it was just a stray hair in my shirt i ignored it, until i felt welts that seemed to be scratch marks. Upon further investigation i noticed they were bumps. I ignored it. 10-15 minutes later i became more irritated along the lower left sid of my back, i checked and it felt and looked more like bug bites. Then i felt a bug crawling along my left arm. I took a picture for evidence that it could be the culprit. We reported the incident immediately. Filled out request forms. And asked about the other incidents that caused them to actually rope off the rows of seats. They didnt give a straight answer, more on the lines of blaming the company that was responsible for ridding the infestation. We completely avoided the seats and i was still bitten. Wish i could display the pitctures of the bites and the bugs. If the caution tape was needed why would they keep this show room open, if theres a big infestation that can possibly be spread to peoples homes why leave your attendees vulnerable. AMC Marina Pacifica cares about money over attendees. We ultimately couldnt finish the movie with fear of bringing bed bugs or an infestation home...

Any other AMC within 30 min drive is a better choice. If AMC isn’t a requirement goto the Edwards 10 mins away. Seating isn’t as nice but they have more screens, larger screens, IMAX and much better dining options. The Long Beach AMC is just very dated.
Theater needs a complete update. Built over 30 years ago there was a new addition added about a decade ago but screens are quite small. Not a megaplex with only a handful of screens. Most of the theaters were updated to recliners though. There was a light cosmetic update with bars added recently. Theater is below ground level and while handicap accessible, it’s not friendly. Likewise handicap parking is very limited.
Overall however the theater and attached shopping center while having been refreshed are quite dated. Getting in and out of the parking lot is limited to mostly one main entrance and two smaller. All on the same street. Parking isles are tight and lot is often full. Layout is horrible and traffic gets locked up easily. Dining options are limited and most aren’t very popular. There is al
There’s a new upscale and multilevel shopping center being built the next block over. There’s no public knowledge of them moving but...
Read moreFirst off, I want to give a shoutout to MoviePass running at $10.00 a month (for a short period of time): I went to the movies every night until I watched every film inclusive of the independent films at a local theater and continued so as new films released in theaters until Movie Pass readjusted. Now, I'm an AMC A-Lister. I enjoy films and reviewing them (IG: @OulsiuenBeneigr). Catering to watching films in comfort is a task AMC fulfills well (concerning my experiences with AMC). Plus, AMC treats their A-Listers well with good customer service and an agreeable-affordable monthly rate.
AMC Marina Pacifica 12 has recliner chairs which feel so good. Not all AMCs have recliner chairs. Every time I visit, AMC is already clean or someone is cleaning. This is not a Dine-In AMC. When I make a rare snack purchase, I buy the Mozarella Sticks: they tasted a lot better before the cancellation and the reinstating of them: the most recent answer to my inquiry about them during their removal concerned seeking a company/vendor change.
AMC has a good amount of space to enter and exit. The parking lot is huge. The films look and sound good though only so many select films are played at this theater (it's not the biggest AMC). The temperature managing improved a lot. Now, I sit in shorts and don't feel like I need blankets or...
