Pigeon's Roller Rink — Attraction in Long Beach

In December 2022, my 6yr old Son wanted to go roller skating. We took him to the Long Beach location and we were excited to have fun. As I paid and purchased our tickets and paid. I was then asked what size we were I gave her our sizes and was told for my 6yr old son that they only had his size in pink. That didn’t sit well with my son as you know kids can be tough on things like this. He told me dad I don’t feel comfortable and don’t want to wear the color pink roller skates, I want black ones , I don’t want to get made fun of by other kids. I explained to the young lady at the counter that he wasn’t comfortable and we would need a different color black , which they offer. She said unfortunately they were out and that was all they had, no other options were offered and I asked for a refund and we would come back another time. I believe her assistant manager, I believe Payne is her name came over, and expressed very aggressive that “your his parent and should force him “ no refund was issued and I’ve sent emails in regards to this with my contact yet no return or reply to this matter had been issued. If this is your customer service and regards to a 6 yr old or any child’s feelings then shame on you… I am a local resident and was baffled by the disregard and assistance manager stating I should force my son to do something he wasn’t comfortable with. I will definitely not be giving nor patronize your business to any of the many surrounding schools and neighbors...

I have not visit this place yet it looks great, but just the way they treat you over the phone makes me think twice on going. I wanted more info on how to rent a space dor a private party the girl that answered the phone I believe her name is Sage was very short on her answers, she refered me to the website right away like she didn't want to give me info or didn't relly know anything. If all the info was there i would not be calling!! This is a great roller rink, conveniently located near a ton of parking, shops, and restaurants. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful! The rink is a good size, with an inner area for new skaters and anyone who wants to practice.

There is tons of bench seating around the perimeter of the rink, and several photo opp locations that are really cute.
