Bought a bike at store... Have had previous great experience with road bike repairs but when to buy a mountain bike... It was awful. Gave my mtn bike to neighbors son. So bought a new mtn bike for 800+$ ... Was told that I needed a small or medium bike... But they didn't have medium there but sales person said the differences between the bikes were minimal. So I said ok if minimal then I will take the small frame bike. Did an eight mile ride and it was beyond awful!!! Knees hurt bc couldn't extend them enough even after raising the seat post. Too get more of an extension, I had to put the seat post two inches past the maximum extension marker which is a safety issue. However, even doing that still bothered my legs. My legs n back hurt.... Fingers going numb from the seated position of my body. So went to take bike back for proper frame size which would be at least a large. Especially considering the sales guy said medium and small frame differences were minimal. Went there and unfortunately, met with complete rudeness from the female manager. She would not exchange the bike for a proper frame size that actually fits me. Instructed us to resell the bike or take very little on trade for the bike...or buy bike upgrades to make it more comfortable. Regardless, even if I upgraded the bike the frame is way too small. Seatpost could bend, or break. The top part of the seat tube (the frame) could break. Most of these problems can be hazardous if they happen when riding at high speeds and/or on bumpy terrain. It was very negligent of the bike store to sell the bike too small for my body composition. We asked for the managers manager and she refused several times to provide that information. We left the store with bike and calles the main number. Left a voicemail with Cody and never returned call. I absolutely do not recommend purchasing bikes from this store. They have inexperienced sales staff, a rude female manager and no consideration to make things right when it was their fault for selling an inappropriate size bike. Riding a bike a couple of times around the parking lot does not equate to a true ride ... I already said it felt small and that was why the sales guy said there was minimal differences between the small frame and medium.. I should've been told that the large frame size was the appropriate size for me but I guess because they didn't have large frame bikes and they just wanted a sale...pushing me towards an inappropriate sized bike and willing to put a customer safety / well being at risk for it. Just save yourself the grief and go to a bike store where customers matter and have experienced sales staff... Right now, gotta figure out what to do with a $800+ bike I cannot ride. Don't get stuck like I am...stay away...
Read moreBobs is over priced. an employee told me a lot of the merchandise up stairs was donated for free door prizes but instead they slapped a price tag on them and its all profit. I used to spend a lot of money at Bobs but the past few times I went there I was harassed about making a purchase so they could watch other coustomers for thieves. I was very offended by there system of picking a person based on there looks and what they have to spend. I like to get what I paid for so as I supped around they had 2 secret shoppers following me the entire time I actually had a few conversions with the gentleman before I realized he suspected me of stealing he even implied I stole the boots I had bought there the week before only after questioning me about who I was with, where I found them in the store, how much I spent on them and if I could describe the employee who sold them to me did he lay off of my boots and I thought at first he just liked them. They try to act like they aren't following you it was completely obvious they aren't talking on the phone or shopping for them selves like they tried to make it seem I found it very offensive and for them to think I'm to dumb to notice the two people that stare untill I would look at them after a while I started smiling in a way saying I know what you are doing it isn't sneaky and waving when we made eye contact but they continued to act like I wasn't there focus and still go every where I went at that point I felt like they must think that I'm completely ignorant and stupid enough to start stealing right in front of them . I understand having loss prevention the merchandise is there business. To waste there time watching and bothering a customer while they shop is in my opinion very rude. I don't steal personally I feel its wrong. After being followed more than once being checked at the counter and pointed at as I left the store I feel it was harassment I will never shop at Bobs again. It's to bad big 5 has garbage merchandise and the worst rcustomer service/return policy and Bobs is disrespectful and a ripoff I will never in my life shop at Bobs again when it used to be one of my favorite stores. If you treat your customers with disrespect And like thieves you are going to have negetive results. If I do go to Bobs it would only be to walk around with no plan to purchase anything but just be suspect if you want to bother people liket that I have all the time in the world to just look and wander and bother you. Good luck Bobs hopefully you don't offended all of...
Read moreI would Give you Zero stars if I could. We Use to love this place until recently. You Archery 🏹 department and new manager is and are lacking, the manager who demanded he doesn't make mistakes has screwed up my boyfriends bow, ordered wrong strings on his bow and his brothers, and more. Now that bow has spent a month a G4 fixing what your Archery Department screwed up. Since messing up the string order on his bow and his brother's bow his brother is off to G4 to have your work checked as well since 5 of us now have had crap work done on our bows by your shop and he is afraid to even shoot his without having the work double checked since you put the wrong string color on his bow but you make no mistakes according to the arrogant management . Never again. Your staff is rude and arrogant and can't do their jobs right. You cost us a couple hundred more to fix his bow again on top the $200 we are out for the first string your staff installed wrong that exploded . For someone who claims he makes no mistakes he has been screwing up on everyone's stuff he works on recently 5 people in our hunting group alone have had bad service from your archery department in the last couple of months. He is rude and arrogant and refuses to own any of his mistakes it is always the customer is wrong and he makes no error's even though he ordered the wrong strings and more. Thank you for ignoring the private facebook messages on the topic too. You read them and couldn't reply. Don't waste your time or money here especially in the Archery 🏹 department they will mess your stuff up and cost you more money in the end it has happened to 5 of us already. Your archery department also failed to notice the cam was bent and G4 had to get it warrantied out something your archery department missed or caused from installing strings wrong . Make the drive to G4 or somewhere more professional, knowledgeable and trained who care about quality...
