First of all, the food is fantastic, however their menu sucks! It's basically all ala carte. When you order a meal, you get rice with it. That's it so I suggest that if you go with people, each of you get something different and share because they bring you plates right off the bat. So you're expected to share between dishes.
If you're a combination type person, their combinations are weird and as long as you want rice, and sweet and sour chicken, you're good. No substitutions either. So there was no combo that suited anyone in our group. Some weird combo's too. We each got orders of our favorites and shared. I just wish they had more combination dinners or the ability to substitute to get your perfect combo. Like the Almond Fried Chicken wasn't offered on any of the combos and you couldn't add it without a significant charge. So the combo's are limited.
I'm a big house fried rice person and I was not disappointed in my order. Plump shrimps, chicken, and steak cooked to perfection. I couldn't get enough and even ordered more to take home with me!!! The sweet and sour pork was grisly, but when you got a good piece, it was great. The Almond fried chicken was wonderful. The food is really spectacular and the serving sizes are perfect for sharing. You'll be taking food home. I just wish they had more combination choices or the ability to substitute for something you really want. The prices are great too. My rice was 13 bucks. Great value and it was so good for breakfast the next morning!! I'll be back for the rice! They know how to cook it. Parking isn't great but it's worth the walk if you have to...
Read moreDisappointed. Once our favorite chinese restaurant in town now is dilapidated and poor quality. Do not waste your time and money. After being seated, we waited 5 mins for waters, and another 10 mins before being greeted by our waitress. Our waitress, Maria, seemed to be the only one working while 3 other waitresses/hostesses were chatting, laughing, and playing on their phones. We ordered the Cantonese dinner with szechuan beef on the side. In the dinner is soup, apps and 1 entree per person.
Our egg flower soup was made of all canned food (chicken, mushrooms, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, peas, and carrots). It was lackluster.
Fried shrimp was included as an app with our meal and it wasn't cleaned (still had the poop tract) or taken off our bill because of it. The rest of the apps were ok.
Entrees were the szechuan beef, broccoli beef, and sweet and sour pork. Pork was very over cooked. Hard and chewy. Beef was questionable on both entrees. It either was raw or very underdone. My fork could hardly cut through and was very pink, and being pregnant I didn't want to risk it. The rice tasted as though it sat in a rice cooker since noon. Nasty. By this point the 3 workers who were goofing were eating in the back of the dining hall and a few diners walk out. While Maria was the one bussing, waiting, handling affairs in front of the house and with kitchen staff. Obviously she carries the restaurant on her back and deserves better.
Once again. Disappointed. Will not be returning. Also needs dusted. Lots of...
Read moreI've never left a three star review before, and I feel bad for it I won't lie. But my SO and I decided to eat here one day to try it out because we had wanted to for a couple months.
Well we went, ordered bbq pork, I sesame chicken, and he a combo that had shrimp, sweet n sour chicken, and something else. Well we ate, and toward the end of our dinner, he began to feel icky. We pay and get out to the parking lot and he opens the door, sits down, then begins wretching, and opens the door to throw up for a couple minutes. We've been together for almost 3 years and this is only the second occasion I've ever seen him actually throw up. Then a couple hours later I began to feel icky but didn't throw up.
The food wasn't bad tasting or anything, but I believe he either got sick from the shrimp, or the food being excessively greasy. I had only felt queasy from the...
