Edit to respond to the owners comment: When I called the salon and asked for the ownerâs e-mail so I could explain in detail my experience, she told me she didnât have one. She didnât ask about what happened or seem concerned in any way when I told her I was devastated with my hair. I asked for the business e-mail and she said it could take the manager days to get to any e-mail I sent and pass the e-mail along to her, despite me telling her on the phone I was sending it. I prefer to communicate in writing, especially after my request was denied to order the correct extensions in salon when I saw the wrong ones were ordered. When I asked my stylist to order them again, after sending a picture of my gray hair I was also denied. I e-mailed halo salon immediately after speaking with Hailey and I copied the message to Hailey on Instagram since she followed me on there as well. She read it within minutes, but insisted I talk to her manager on the phone ONLY and addressed nothing I said. I have asked several times for them to respond to my e mail, but they refuse.
Unfortunately my experience at Halo was a very negative one which is sad because I was so excited to give them a try. I ordered warm blonde extensions with a brown root 6 weeks in advance from Bridget. They were a perfect match with my hair. When I arrived I got a text stating my stylist was running 30 min late. Over an hour later when I finally got in the chair, she opened the extensions (making them non refundable and her financially responsible for the hair) without checking them first. Sadly, they were not the extensions I ordered and did not come with a root. I requested several times to come back another time and order the right hair. She refused and rooted them herself. This left me waiting another 2.5 hours. The owner Hailey was there but never checked in with me to see what was wrong or how she could accommodate me. When the stylist colored the extensions, the extensions changed color. This has NEVER happened in over 3 years of having extensions that were blonde and rooted by hand. This leads me to believe the hair quality is poor but I cannot be certain exactly what they use. However, Hailey advertises her own extensions brand. When I expressed my concern that the color had changed she said they were icy now and must have toned due to the dye but would be fine. At my consultation I made it clear I only wanted extensions down low because of the way my hair grows and she agreed 2 rows was best. During the install she installed 3 rows saying it wouldnât work without 3. I now have grey hair extensions that are completely visible on top because they go up so high. I am devastated with the experience. When I messaged the next day expressing how upset I was and asked my stylist to order the correct hair she said it would have to be paid for it out of pocket and paying for them would be a huge hit to her financially. She did not order the right ones or pay me back for the hair but has since paid me back for the install and apologized. However, I have not been reimbursed for the hair. I have requested reimbursement for this damaged hair that I didnât order from the stylist and have also requested reimbursement from the owner Hailey but she insists I talk to her manager only, over the phone and refuses to address my e-mail. She never apologized for my terrible experience and I have not been reimbursed for this hair. Here is an unedited picture of my gray extensions. I hope this never happens to anyone else. I spent a huge amount of money for my hair to look this way and to never receive the product I ordered which now, I definitely do not want. I really hope no one else has to ever go...
Read moreI WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, they will treat you horribly if they look you you and decide you don't fit their "STYLE" AND THE OWNER WILL LIE JUST TO SAVE FACE. I had a friend that just went in and her husband made a post in regards to the situation, the response that the OWNER gave is ALL COMPLETElY FALSE, SHE WAS NEVER OFFERED A DRINK, AS SOON SHE WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR ALL THAT SHE WAS MET WITH WAS NO GREATING AND JUST BLANK EXPRESSIONS, she had to tell them that she had an appointment, and ALL THE STYLESTS JUST SAID OK AND KEPT STAIRING AT HER, when she said her name they were still very standoffish and when she was walking over to the chair the other stylest were STAIRING and whispering, after like on 30 second of talking the stylest just said, let me go talk to my boss. When she had left to speak to her, the looks that they were giving her made her feel extremely uncomfortable. When she had called in to make the appointment she was asking for general quotes information and the process of getting extensions done so if there was not much that could be done she would at least have the information to come back and they didn't even bother notating that in the appointment notes. When the stylests came back she was basically saying that there was nothing that can be done and to come back her hair is longer and that there are new things that are coming all the time so MAYBE at that time IF something new is developed. And the put the cherry on top when the other morning appointments walked in ALL the stylests were super welcoming and bubbly, offering them drinks and basically completely opposite as how my friend was treated which is appalling to say the least. Because of how you treated her she came home in tears and said that "that this is why I never goes to salons because they always just take one look at me and act like I don't belong". knowing that the owner will lie to just save face when there was a witness would make anyone wonder if this is the first time that they have treated people like this just based on a what they look or who they are with. She was so excited to come to you guys for her FIRST EVER salon appointment that was not about just a haircut and you ruined the whole salon experience. I really hope you have the life that you deserve knowing that the whole salon has some sort of thing against people who dont fit...
Read moreFinding myself in need of a new esthetician, I began my search for Brazilian waxing in Longview. Halo made it easy to set my appointment online, & I was able to get my appointment quickly. I have been getting Brazilians for about 20 years, & it was a true challenge moving to a new place (from Texas). I put off my maintenance because it is always a minor stress to change estheticians. First, Iâm a robust woman & that is always something youâre aware of no matter how comfortable you are with your body. Then, you donât know their work, how clean the place is, are they going to do a good & thorough job, or leave you looking like you have mangy nethers? And of course you canât learn that until youâre there and in the appointment.
When I walked in to Halo, I was greeted by Demi, who, it turns out, was waiting for me. The overall atmosphere is calm, almost enchanting with the ease & comfort of the energy in the space. Itâs beautiful, and inviting. Now, to the most important part of this review.
Was I happy with my Brazilian? YES! Demi is AMAZING & made sure there wasnât a hair left. I knew by how thorough she was at the time, I didnât need to check with a mirror before getting my knickers back on. I got home and showered, & I was right. Iâm as smooth as a balloon, yâall! Absolutely perfect work, & I will be going to Demi regularly and exclusively. She made the entire experience pleasant, efficient, & thorough. I cannot say enough how entirely happy I am, & Iâm thrilled not to need to look further than Demi at Halo for any waxing and...
