Longview Escape Room — Attraction in Longview

Experienced escape room family of 3, first time trying out this place. Definitely don't think this is worth the cost. The two rooms we did (Murder Mystery and Detention) both felt disjointed and like the clues were not connected to each other well at all. There were several times we would get something unlocked and finish a step, then look at each other like "now what?" We were very disappointed in the lack of flow and/or logic behind most of the ideas/puzzles of each room. We left without caring to finish our second room because we were frustrated to the point of snapping at each other and not having any fun.

It didn't help that when we first arrived, we were worried the place was actually closed despite what Google/the website said beacuse the "Open" sign was not on and there were no other cars around. Both rooms were very chilly (the thermostat in the 2nd one read 60), so it was hard to focus while feeling cold. Both rooms also had at least one puzzle that was not calibrated correctly, and we had to be told what the correct answer was. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this location to try out any other rooms, nor will we be recommending it to anyone...

Previously have completed an escape room several months ago here that went flawlessly. Not sure what has changed in the past several months, but today’s experience was terrible. After waiting 45 minutes past our scheduled start time, which we were ten minutes early for, they briefly explained how the room worked and then started us in the room. For the first thirty minutes we were unable to ask for a hint since they didn’t provide a walkie talkie for us. When the time ran out we just opened the door and walked out without any conversation from the workers, no asking how our experience was, nothing. Definitely will not be recommending to anyone in the foreseeable future. Understaffing is an understandable issue, but that’s not an excuse for the level of service that we received. Perhaps the bookings should be spread out in a way that the workers are able to provide an acceptable amount of service...

Had a super fun date night recently. I was able to book same day for the murder mystery room. The booking process is a little clunky and you might choose a room that is unavailable, but the staff member there was really friendly and flexible. I tried to book the wild west room (not ready yet as of Feb 2025) and the confirmation was for the gambler. It is very math heavy which sounds fun for next time, but for our date night we chose the murder mystery in person. I liked that all 3 rooms were ready to go and the staff person happily let us pick whichever we wanted. It was just the two of us despite not booking the entire room, so we spend about $50 and risked it instead of $150 to guarantee the room to ourselves.
