Lorain Estates Senior Living — Attraction in Lorain

My family & I have nothing but great things to say about Elmcroft of Lorain! Our dad was in the hospital and was in need of supervision and therapy after a hospital stay. The insurance would not approve a nursing home and we really didn’t want him going to one. Due to all of us children working full time we were not able to provide this supervision for dad. My siblings & I began calling around for options. Home Health could only provide a few hours of care & supervision a day which we didn’t feel comfortable with. We began calling Assisted Livings. Elmcroft of Lorain came to the rescue! We spoke with the Sales Director. She said they had a few open apartments left. She offered their short term furnished apartment. We were also pleasantly surprised to find out that they provide in house physical therapy ( which Dad was in need of) and we agreed that we would move forward. Dad, originally, was only going to stay for a couple of weeks until he got stronger but, after a week, Dad was socializing and making friends with other Veterans living at Elmcroft of Lorain and decided to sell his condo and move in permanently! I can not thank you and your excellent team enough for letting our father become one of your residents in your assisted living!! It has made our job of caring for our father in the proper way at this time in his life much less stressed filled than we have had in our previous facility. I have never felt like we made the wrong decision getting our dad into the AL like I did in previous facility. No second guessing at all with your team of caregivers.

Everytime I walk into see my dad he is smiling, socializing out of his room and says "I'm very happy here Meg!!" It really eases the mind of a family knowing you can walk out of the apartment of your Dad and your staff WILL care for our dad the way we always knew he deserved!!!

Thank you for the peace of mind our family needed to get our dad through this time. We are confident he will have a GREAT happy journey with your team and most importantly a safe and happy ending for his well lived life!!!

I have been employed by Lorain Estates now, for over a year and my experience has been wonderful. From day one, the residents and staff has made me feel welcomed, and appreciated. Even, the families that has came to special events, shows so much love and appreciation for what we all do. When I first did a walk through, I noticed the involvement of all the residents engaged with activities and that really stood out to me. Not to mention all of the care and compassion, that the caregivers gave, each and every day is second to none. The housekeeping staff is A1 and keeps everything spotless and smelling great everyday. As the Culinary Director, I was blessed with the best Chefs and Aides, that takes so much pride in their work, with every single meal. Last but not least, the management team. This team works very well together, and also, supports each other and makes sure everyone is take care of by all means, as if it was their own family.
