Manhattan Project National Historical Park (Los Alamos Site) - Visitor Contact Station — Attraction in Los Alamos

Entered the Visitor Center and another couple walked in a few seconds after us. An older gentleman asked us whether we all came in together, we said no that we were not with them, he proceeded to offer them a brochure and interact with the other couple. He made us feel unwelcome because instead of offering us a brochure, he proceeded to ignore us and turn his attention to the couple who entered after us. I cannot help but feel that because we were 2 women that came in together he had a problem with that and chose to ignore us and rather help the male and female couple after us. Definitely, unprofessional and unwelcoming...

It's difficult to get information ahead of time about the tours, and official tours must be reserved well in advance, which was a disappointment. Nevertheless, the museum is phenomenal. So much education, so much to see, so much! Rich memorabilia. Regardless of whether you are a World war II buff and nuclear energy expert, or a young person just learning, there is much to be mesmerized by. The history talk here was spectacular. Stopped in on a Sunday morning after visiting Trinity Site the day before, and while I've read a number if books on the place, the staff/volunteer (not sure) speaker helped pull it all together.
