Worst airline ever! 1st flight was delayed so bad we had to be completely rescheduled which made me miss a paid appearance in which I was fined 5k for. Of course american airlines or their agents didnt care! The agents are very uneducated and disrespectful. Then on my returning flight we weren't able to check in online and waiting in line made us late for check in...we were told we had to come back for a 6am flight only to get to the airport at 4 am to find out the new flight was delayed and then after waiting 2 hours...when trying to board we found out our entire trip was canceled and now had to wait another 3 HOURS for the next flight! We werent even offered any type of credit or at least a seat upgrade...meanwhile another couple on our 1st flight were upgraded to 1st class for their inconvenience...they were also white so I guess thats the american way! I WILL NEVER FLY WITH THIS TRASH AIRLINE AGAIN! This airline does not respect black ppl.
UPDATE: Currently at a layover and they've notified us that our seats are not only separated but also middle seats anf I originally paid to select my seats! AGAIN AMERICAN AIRLINES IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST AIRLINE EVER! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME BOOKING WITH UNLESS YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH CANCELED AND LATE FLUGHTS WITH NO NOTIFICATION...IF YOU'RE BLACK THEY WILL CHANGE YOUR SEATS TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE AS UNCOMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE AND IN THE VERY BACK OF THE PLANE ANF SEPARATED FROM YOUR LIVE ONES! NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL FLY WITH THEM. THIS IS THE 3RD AIRPORT... EVERYONE OF THEM HAVE TRASH CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ARE UNORGANIZED AT...
Read moreHello, the employee that was calling out group numbers was incredibly rude and unprofessional to another customer and her father who is disabled and on oxygen. My biggest complaint is that the Hispanic older female employee who came afterwards to help during boarding instead of professionally and amicably informing us that we were in the incorrect line with multiple other people behind us, she insisted to talk rudely to me and my husband. I’m very quiet and calm but she was so rude to the point to where I felt threatened. I looked at my husband and she stated very loudly that I was rolling my eyes and was being very angry and the male employee didn’t even dare to step in. she had us check in our carry on bags but now I’m afraid that they’ll disappear. I just came back from a funeral to have to deal with employees like this! This is very upsetting and I want to elevate this. I never complain about airlines but I’m very upset over this. She was rude to ALL of us instead of being polite and just professional. I didn’t yell or anything so she had no reason to treat me in such a way. Me and my husband are both medical professionals and even on our worse days we’d never dare talk to others in...
Read moreCheck in at American airlines in Atlanta was pretty bad....the app wouldn't work on my phone so I waited in line to check in at the front....I told the girl it wouldn't work so she sent me back to the self check in kiosk...I got it to work, printed out my boarding pass and baggage tag and got BACK in line....while I was in line the same woman who wouldn't help me at the front but just sent me to the kiosk had now left her post at the front leaving only one guy doing baggage drop off and went ahead to help 2 others...then I get to the front again and apparently both my boarding passes hadn't printed, only the first leg and the guy sent me BACK AGAIN to the kiosk and refused to help me after I had asked him to help me....I reprinted my boarding pass and it printed both out this time. Overall the staff just didn't care to be helpful at all or even friendly at least. I FULLY understand everyone in customer service is warn out and understaffed right now, as I'm in the same world of customer service, but at least they can try to be friendly if they're not going...
