Stopped by The Coffee Bean in LAX Terminal 1 and ordered an iced hazelnut coffee with no cream and a cinnamon roll. The cashier was kind, but I think my order may have been mixed up because milk was added to the drink. It was hard to really taste the coffee itself since the milk overpowered everything, so I can’t give a true opinion on the flavor. Service was slower than expected, especially considering only two people had ordered before me. That being said, the drink was still enjoyable for what it was. The cinnamon roll was moist with a nice flavor, but I do wish they had a better packaging option—most of the cream cheese topping ended up stuck to the bag instead of the pastry. Small things, but they add up when you’re grabbing a quick bite at the airport.

“Mona” was my barista and she looked so angry! And just as I expected she made my iced chai drink with spite, barely putting any tea leaves in the portalfilter. She put a HEAPING scoop of vanilla powder which could be tasty if it was diluted and mixed in the hot tea correctly. I asked for “light ice” and my drink was low about two inches. I asked her to add more for a full drink and she gave me a deadpan stare. Turned around robotically, added TOO MUCH ICE and my drink spilled out. She didn’t fix it, just smashed the lid on and gave me to sopping wet drink. Crunchy vanilla powder all for $9

I never leave reviews, but this experience was just too bad to stay quiet. I went in expecting hand-made coffee and ordered a matcha and instead I got cheap, artificial sugary powder (worse than Dunkin’s) that wasn’t even mixed well. It was so bad I couldn’t drink it and ended up tossing it in the trash. $10 wasted, and on top of that, the barista asked for a tip. I tipped $1.75, and he didn’t even say thank you. When the other barista handed me my drink, I said thank you and she rolled her eyes at me. Overpriced, bad drinks, and rude staff. Definitely not worth it.

While airport staff at various eatery establishments can be very cold/uncaring, this Coffee Bean location at SNA (departures) is an exception - at least lately! As a frequent flyer, I have dealt with such a wide range of service during travels, but it is always experiences like those of recently at this Coffee Bean that make me extra blessed and grateful. Both outbound and inbound departures/arrivals of mine this past week for an international trip began and ended with kind team members serving me my perfect oat milk latte - along with an inspiring, positive conversation and true care for me as a customer. I cannot remember the first barista's name, sadly, but he was such a friendly young gentleman on a Thursday morning. Yesterday, after 20 hours of travel on my birthday, my return home was made even brighter by Denise who chose to serve me PErFECTLY despite her start to closing up. Not only was my latte crafted for me, but a wonderful conversation and new pal who I look forward to meeting again on my next SNA flight (fingers-crossed!). Thank you for being more than average, Coffee Bean, SNA,...

Very rude people. Very passive aggressive. The Asian woman working at the counter insulted me when I didn't want to leave a tip for standing in a line to buy two red bulls at the counter. She acted like I was outraged, doing a passive aggressive technique where she pretended I was overreacting for saying I just wanted to pay and not leave a tip for buying a red bull. She repeatedly told me to calm down in front of the other customers, and then when I gave her a disapproving glance (since I stopped speaking) she said " oh, I'm so scared", as I walked away and she turned to her coworker and they both started giggling. So incredibly rude.

This was after she had a long conversation with another customer about their jewelry while 10 people stood in line.

Judging by the number of 1 star reviews, I am guessing she was " so scared" because she knows the owner's don't care and the employees can treat customers with unmitigated amounts of disrespect without fear of...

I have never seen a worst coffee place ever. These awful employees charged me, didn't make me my order and didn't fully refund my order. Idk if you want to believe this or not, but when they gave me back my reciept and I said you didn't give me back the correct amount, they reprinted a cancelation transaction and there was a DRAWING OF A P*NIS on it!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes! I just said oh they just crossed the reciept and my mind is horrible! But after checking my bank account, I don't know if it was coincidence or not! I was not rude to the service workers, I know that's a very demanding job at an airport, I just wanted my money back. But you took my money, didn't make my order, wasted my time and insulted me. Sunday 8/25/24 Apologies for this very weird review, I'm just extremely frustrated with not getting my...
