Did you know? Paul Revere Williams, an architect whose legacy is as grand as the structures he designed, left an indelible mark on American architecture. Despite the racial barriers of his time, Williams became a prominent figure, crafting iconic buildings that have come to symbolize cities across the U.S. His work includes the futuristic Theme Building at LAX, the La Concha Motel in Las Vegas, and the celebrated Beverly Hills Hotel. Williams’ journey from orphanhood to becoming the first African American member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a testament to his extraordinary talent and resilience. ✍️ His handwriting was used for The Beverly Hills Hotel logo. 🎥: @designcrimespod #paulrwilliams #beverlyhills #blackhistorybootcamp

This used to be the prominent structure at LAX but it is now dwarfed by other structures in the ever congested airport.

I was lucky enough to visit it when it was a space themed restaurant and I was a transit passenger with time to get there, enjoy a meal and get my next flight. The views were great, but the Rhino Chaser beer really good - I never had it again despite looking. Come on LAX, make this the memory of the site for others, don't just deny...

There are open 10 a.m - 10 p.m. providing a safe haven for military members who might need food or shelter during their travels. The staff is accommodating and really friendly....and represent the very essence of Bob Hope and his love of...
