Burke Williams Day Spa — Attraction in Los Angeles

I enjoy getting massages from Sky. She’s great and I go there once a month as a member. However I rated 1 star because there’s one cleaning lady came up to me while I was totally naked and asked me if I’m pregnant! I was appalled because I’m not! I was defenseless and felt insulted because she’s about 250-300 pounds obese and judged me while I was naked! All members come in different sizes, but what does it matter to her and why does she have to ask a personal question about the member ? I felt like I was being harassed!

Following month, I returned to the spa and while I was again totally naked at the locker room, same obese cleaning lady approached me and pat me and apologized to me! I was super uncomfortable because just like the last time, she approached me when I was naked !!! That was super intimidating!!!! I was super furious! I love this spa, but I’m not going to visit them when she’s working! I have to call ahead and make sure that obese lady is not there or I have to cancel my appointment! She’s just a cleaning lady and she should just do the job and not approaching the member to ask them a personal question especially when they are naked! Whatever happened to a privacy??? Burke Williams should be ashamed for hiring such an individual! I’d fire her if I’m the owner, because that behavior is unacceptable! Friendliness is one thing, but rudeness is another! Without this rude lady, I’d give 5 star. I wish that lady...

I’ve been going to Burke Williams at the Sherman Oaks location for about a decade or so. This newer Hollywood location is definitely much nicer. It has a co-ed area, quiet room, and obviously wet spa areas, jacuzzi, steam room, dry sauna, showers, etc. I did like the ambience better at this location than the Sherman Oaks location, perhaps it’s because everything is newer.

Far as service, I always get the Swedish/deep tissue massage. I’ve always had very positive experiences with their masseuses. The lady who did my service this time, she seemed a little bit new? Don’t get me wrong, she was good, just not great. There were a lot of pauses in between services, meaning her hands would leave my body a lot when one hand should always be placed on your body as to not startle the client. Also, the oil she was using was pretty cold but that’s my bad, I should’ve said something.

Overall, I am pleased with this location. They live up to my expectations and in fact, I’ll be going again this weekend. Hopefully this time the massage will be A+...

I had an amazing, relaxing experience here! From the moment I walked into Burke Williams, the staff made me feel special. When I checked in, they even said they were preparing the event room for my guests and I. I booked 12 relaxation massages for my bachelorette day spa day. I had a wonderful time. The staff that made me feel particularly very special were Matt, the manager, Iman at the front desk, and Kenny my massage therapist. We had an amazing time, the staff even brought us dove chocolates and macaroons to the event room and fresh lemonade and water for us. It was a nice place to gather and talk to each other while relaxing. All of my guests had a great time too. Matt the manager made us all feel very special and took amazing group photos for us.
