Terrible manager, Lily sitting their not willing to help customers! Even worse the owner was sitting next to her too!!! I needed a gift for my Israeli friend, I am not from Isreal so I didn't know how it looks like, so I went to the cashier (LIly was standing next to her) they told me its over there, showing me a huge section with 100 items, I couldn't find went back to Lily and she said it called XX its there, pointing me the same section, I went back, couldn't find, a gentleman who was working there was nice and saw my frustration and went to Lily and asked her to come for help, no one came, I went back to her again, this time little frustrated, Suleiman the owner I believe was sitting next to her, I said I appreciate if you move and show me the product! she wanted to move first, but because I said you need to move for customer, she sat down again and said I can't move!! So here: this is why you receive this review and this is why you are FAT!!! It can get busy/crowded in here and the old Persian women will sometimes yell at you in Farsi if you take up too much room in the aisle (kinda cute, actually), but overall this place is an awesome cultural experience which can only be had in LA, and it offers a lot of good deals for a neighborhood grocery store. Best time to shop are weekday mornings, and it's busiest on Friday evenings (insane during/near Jewish holidays) and all day Sunday - closed Saturdays. Everyone is pushing to get items and bumping into each other, no one says ‘excuse me’ or be a decent human being. Too many customers thinking they have some sort of superiority and are stuck ups, it’s disgusting.
Do you gain something for pushing and bumping into someone? Having no patience just because you want the same item as others, so you have to push? Just because you have no patience for the workers bagging someone’s else’s cart so you have to reach over and push them to pay for your items, when someone else’s item was still being bagged?
