Extra Space Storage — Attraction in Los Angeles

Well, after looking at several storage places and comparing prices I decided to pick this one because the price was one of the cheapest and it was close to my house. Little did I know it would be a huge mistake. The day I signed up for my storage the elevator was OUT OF ORDER. My storage was on the second floor. So I was not able to store anything in it that day. Because I had heavy boxes I could not carry my self. The next day the elevator was working and I took about 4-6 boxes. The next day Sunday, the elevator was again OUT OF ORDER. I had to take all of my stuff up the stairs. The elevator worked for exactly 1 day and has not been fixed since. I called and complained and was told that I could take the stairs. To quote the store manager "people can take the stairs, they just don't want to." I told the store manager I couldn't go up the stairs with a washing machine. So she said they would hire some men to carry up my stuff. Well, when my husband who has a bad back took the washing machine for the men to carry and place in our storage the men where as skinny as tooth picks, short, and older than Santa Claus. My husband had to carry the washing machine with them because they couldn't do it alone. Then my husband carried up all of our boxes...yup all 12 boxes up and down the stairs because the men were busy helping other people. Mike is the best human being ever, he stayed way above and beyond duty to help me move in when I was in a tight spot. His mannerism was professional, efficient and more than helpful. The operator is misleading, do be aware this is syorage space that can only be accessed during office hours. Which doesn't work too well for us 9-5 ers. Also, the elevator is a bit of a death trap and I needed assistance to operate it. The facility is clean and secured, the neighborhood it self is a bit intimidating. The other office mates are not as friendly or helpful as Mike. If you need it clean, fast and secured this is the place to be. But if you need to take things out or ease of usage not such a good idea, especially since the units do not come with any ind of light. The personal code you are given doesn't work after hours, it is just used to keep track clients coming in and out during office hours. Also there are no complimentary locks/ packaging etc. The price range is about $78-93 for a living room worth of furnishing (7/10 foot), it's pretty standard, but there is a 33 dollar initiation fee and cost of lock.Contact Mike he is the...
