Where do I even begin? Mai Dinh the owner of the salon is not only unprofessional but has no actual sense of customer service whatsoever! I have been coming here since November, and this was the first nail salon that I made myself a regular at in the Los Angeles area. The first few sets that I had were nice. But it seems like after a while, the quality of work went downhill. I started having nails chip off after not even a full week of wear and still never tried to lowball her and always offered to pay full price despite her mistakes. She would tint my eyebrows and yet they would still come off after 2 to 3 days.
She also made several unprofessional remarks that I overlooked on numerous occasions It honestly gave âmean girlâ. I even got a bacterial fungus from the type of products that she uses on my fingers that I had to get another salon to remove.
In spite of these multiple fallacies and shortcomings on her as a business, I decided to give it one more chance to see If there was just a disparity with the communication on our part. I walked into her salon where it was jampacked with customers and students. I usually get a gel press on set. She grabs the nails and guides me to the pedicure station, I always prepay for my appointment so I asked her for the total. It was a press on set with a polish change on my toes with paraffin wax.
All she does is walk over and say â$97.00â With no breakdown of the pricing, So I asked. She charged me $25 for a take off when I literally had beauty supply press on nails on my hands, then when I call her out on it she changes it from a fee for a âtake offâ to the application fee for the press ons. I donât argue with her pricing, and I proceed with payment.
The nail tech then comes to begin the service, and I look to Mai For the press on set that she held on to at the beginning of my appointment. She rolls her eyes and asks me where the nails went. I then clarify and let her know that she was the one that had the nails. She then rolled her eyes and didnât attempt to go locate the nails, this was my final breaking point. So I proceed to ask for a refund.
If I were you guys, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere to get your nails done. There are plenty of more professional and cleaner shops, where you will not experience mean girl syndrome In a setting where the the work is nowhere near worth the pricing.
Also refer to bottom picture for the fungus from her unkempt...
Read moreIf I could have give 0 stars I would have. Glam house is so unprofessional and their lack of offering a decent customer service is what brought me here. I never leave reviews but my horrible experience has left me so disappointed I must warn any potential customers. I made an appointment for 12pm Saturday 17th June 2023 with Chrissy. 5 mins before the appointment I was texted that she called out and someone else would do my nails. When I arrived I told the receptionist that I am very particular about my nails and I choose Chrissy because I saw her work on Instagram of which I liked. She assured me that everyone at the shop did âgreatâ nails. I should have known this enterprise didnât have my best interest at heart from the very beginning when they changed my nail tech 5 mins before my scheduled appointment. Fast forward, the nail tech had no idea how to shape my nails. She also filed them so rough and hard she gave me a cut at the side of my nail which pained throughout the session and a few hours later. She also didnât do the greatest job painting them. I was so displeased. Moreover, when it was time to get my toes done, I waited almost an hour to get tended to and might I add I had my 1 year old son with me. The receptionist did apologize for the wait but what really got me upset is the following day my nails started to fall apart. My Rhinestones that were added all started falling out. My nails also started lifting within 2 days. I have pictures and videos to prove it. I called glam house and spoke to Morgan very professionally about the matter. I told her I would not be coming back to their business because I was very disappointed in their service. I asked for a partial refund, not FULL as I do understand that time was put into the service. I feel like although the service was delivered it wasnât up to standard and I should be compensated partially. Usually when I get my nails done elsewhere it last 2-3 weeks not a few days. Nevertheless, Morgan told me she couldnât have helped me at the moment and that she had to speak to her boss. An entire day has passed and I have not received a call back. I didnât want to leave this review. I really wanted to settle this amicably but this business does not care about their customers. Please BEWARE of getting services here! You are better off going to those unlicensed techs slaying nails out their home-based...
