The owner of Lux Nail Spa is an awful person , i unfortunately ran late at my appointment 14minutes late exactly and the owner yelled at me that I was late and asked me to wait for everyone to finish there lunch 45 minutes later someone approached me and asked me what I wanted to get down I told her that I wanted what I booked my appointment for it was then 2.25pm , She proceed start to remove the gel and all of a sudden the owner came by us telling the person who was doing my nail to hurry up as she was book for an appointment at 2.45pm?? We all know that it take at least 1-2h to get gel done so how in the world could she make this work , no way she could do my nails in 20mnt so the women âownerâ ask me to come back knowing that she has just removed the gel and I have long natural nails ! I refuse to come back telling that my time is also valuable and I waited 45mnt for being late only 14 , ask her what would she make me wait , I would have left and done deal , she started to yell at me again that I got upset and told her that it wasnât an appropriate way to address a customer, I told her that I didnât like her ton at all she then came right to my face 1 client got to my defense saying that it wasnât right the way she was addressing and treating me. To do better the owner start yelling âI own this place, it is mine!â Thinking that it will justified her poor and miserable behavior . Very sad . I ended up being ask to go in the back âI had aluminum on my left handâ I asked what âback and why , I refused saying that this whole thing wasnât right , I spent lots of money in this place always get a $90-110bills for gel manicure, which is a little expensive there but I went with it thinking the services will followed but didnât at all also always tipped well , I didnât deserved this . This women forced me to go to the back room otherwise I would leave this place with with an unfinished work and because my nail are natural and long they would break, once in the back , she started to speak Korean to one of her employe which was confused and very stressful as this same woman was speaking a very good English minutes before . They end up telling me that I was late and because of that there entire schedule got messed up , they will finish the work but will not do what I want , I then told this poor minded woman that she should have told me to rebook I would have instead of putting me through all this embarrassment in front of a lots of people . This wasnât necessary? They ended up changing $135 for a Gel manicure ombrĂ© which was $45 dollars more . I was so drained that I paid without a word . I end up crying in my way back home feeling as I just been bullied on.. 10 days later 4 nails broke I called them back as there was no way that I paid $135 +$15 tip and my nails will break???! They book me , I thought, ok cool they maybe feel bad for how they handled me in the past well I was wrong . I was embarrassed again , after waiting for 15minutes they asked me to come to the back , I refused and left telling this evil woman âownerâ to get the help she need and pointed at her calling her a bullied. They should change there sign and call themselvesâ bullies Nails spa â Donât go there , they will ripe u off and neglect u...
Read moreI'd like to first emphasize the really lovely job the individual manicurist did, applying polish -- the only service I came in for. I was happy with the care with which she painted my nails with my own polish I BROUGHT IN (which were unpainted when I arrived and I didn't have time for a manicure). That said, customer service goes a long way. I felt compelled to share my experience, as the disappointment lingers a bit, and perhaps the owner may rethink her inflexibility regarding accommodating requests. I originally walked in and was told I could only pay cash, and not use a credit or debit card to pay for any services below $50. I would need to get cash from an ATM (they have one on-site, which charges $2; with my bank's $3.95 additional fee from an out-of-network ATM service, it seemed a waste of money). I just wanted to have my nails painted (that service is $20 here; a full manicure is $30). I left to find my bank's approved ATM service, and returned 30 minutes later with cash in hand, and pre-paid, adding a 25% tip for the nail tech herself, and handed this to the owner. Upon leaving, I asked if I could please have a receipt (as I will be reimbursed by a print production I booked a job with, which last minute requested a certain manicure look they wouldn't have someone on hand to provide at the next morning's shoot). The owner handed me a little printout that indicated I paid $20 for a service there. I asked if she could please include the $5 I added for the stylist, as I was submitting this to be reimbursed, and that's indeed what the visit cost me. She said "no, I cannot do that." So, not only on one hand did she accept a cash payment from me with no record of it in the form of a credit or debit card transaction, but yet wouldn't afford me the courtesy of documenting for my OWN purposes the actual amount spent at her nail salon, after it was time-inefficient for me to leave to get cash and come back (which I did). Is it in the scheme of what's happening all over the world a catastrophe? Of course not. But times on a lesser scale are challenging for a lot of people, and when a customer is making the effort to aid YOUR business in being of service, it would be lovely to practice MUTUAL consideration, from my perspective. That was my first experience...
Read moreHave gone here several times. Majority of the poor reviews Iâve read are accurate. If you receive services enough times here, youâll experience it.
Iâve consistently gone here a little over a year. Spend at minimum $100 and tip 20% cash (fyi, they will not accept anything BUT cash tips -canât tip by Venmo or Zelle either - and will make you use the ATM inside of the salon - added fee- if you donât have cash on hand).
Iâve never complained or caused a fuss until this moment. I went in for an appointment I made over the phone from my work line. When I went in for my appointment, I was told I hadnât made one and they were booked up - instead of just admitting there was an error on their part , it happens. I would think my history of buying services without issue would have earned me some credibility.
The owner simply does not value a customer base/repeat business. And has an air of âwe donât need you, you need usâ about her. Yet, there isnât anything particularly outstanding about the salon...
