Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Very rude, rough, non-friendly or welcoming nail technician. She was argumentative when I asked for shorter length. Rather than patiently doing my nails within my appointment time, she was rushing because she had to get home for another appointment she'd scheduled at 7pm. It was 6:15pm when she started on my nails and said she didn't have time to do my nails how I'd asked because she had to get home. Your commute time is not my problem. Neither is you starting my nails late. (this is the short version) Complete experience: I was a couple minutes early for my appointment. When I walked in there was a hair stylist doing her friends hair (I know this because they left in the same car and the friend had to come back in to get the hair stylist cell phone which she forgot in the nail salon) Neither of them even said hello to me, they just looked and continued about their business. There was no one else in the salon. So I waited about 10 mins, I noticed two girls walking from the gas station across the street and figured it was them. They walked into the salon, saw me and didn't say "hello" or anything. They asked me if I was there for an appointment after they finished their conversation in Russian. One of the girls then asked if I was their 5pm appointment I said yes, but I was told that you'd have to do my pedicure at 5p and gel x at 6pm. She proceeded to begin my pedicure, while the nail technician from across the room, in a confrontational tone, asks aren't you suppose to be here at 6pm for your gel x?! I said yes, when I made my appointment they mentioned my pedicure and gel x would have to be done separately, which I agreed to. Mind you that is an inconvenience within itself. To have to be in the nail salon for 2 hours, but I know it happens, especially if you are new there. I told her if you could it would be great to have them done at the same time. She said no I can't I have other appointment. So I said okay. She then starts calling her now late customer, who cancels! So she tells me okay I'll do it now. There was no conversation with me about how I wanted my nails done. She simply asked the pedicurist who also seemed to be her friend, in Russian, what is it that I wanted. When she spoke fluent English to me not too long ago. I found this odd, because there was a feeling of I want nothing to do with this customer. It seemed like she was very moody and needed a nap. I continued to be friendly throughout this whole time without any retaliation. She started on my nails, and didn't speak to me the entire time. I'd told her this was my first time trying gel x so that she could walk me through what to expect. She did not, she just continued rushing through doing my nails. I am use to nail technicians checking for the customers approval every so often. She did not. So when I got the chance I took a look. My nails were too long for my liking, I asked her to make them just a tad bit shorter. She got so upset, started huffing and puffing, and says you tell me this now?! I responded by telling her you didn't ask me if that length was fine and I simply want you to shorten them just a bit, you can use the filer. She was like well how much, come on, hurry up tell me. I was shocked and told her you know what this much, measuring with my nails. She cuts a lot more than what I asked!!!!! She could no longer do the design I'd asked for which she had forgotten about or didn't care to do. She finished up in a hurry. Does not ask if I need anything else or if I happy with her work. She did not remove the glue from underneath my nails, she did not spray them or rub cuticle oil as is part of the process and as I've seen on their IG page. She then charges me an OVERpriced amount for the work she'd done. The pedicurist also does my toe nails extremely short and makes me bleed. Never going back and definitely will tell my friends and family not to go there if they are interested in checking them out. I do not recommend going there at all. Worst...
Read moreI recently had a very disappointing experience at Oh La La nails that I feel compelled to share. On December 21, 2024, I visited the salon for Gel X nail extensions. Initially, everything seemed fine, but within just ten days, my nails began to pop off as if they were press-ons. Two nails detached entirely, and the remaining nails started lifting with visible glue around them in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS! This is highly unusual for me, as Iâve been getting Gel X extensions for years, and they typically last over a month without issues.
I reached out to the salon to address the problem, but the response I received was unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the possibility of an issue with the application process, I was told, âWe donât know what you could be doing for your nails to pop off, and we canât guarantee how long theyâll last, but other clientsâ nails last 2-3 months.â This was not only condescending but also failed to provide any resolution to my problem.
As a loyal customer who has spent a considerable amount of money at this salon and always tipped generously, I am deeply disappointed. I have never encountered issues like this at this location before, which makes this experience even more frustrating.
Itâs clear that something went wrong during the application process, yet the salon refused to take responsibility or offer to fix the problem properly. I would have appreciated a more professional approach to resolving this matter, especially given my history of satisfaction with their services.
Unfortunately, due to this experience and the lack of accountability, I cannot recommend Oh La La to anyone. For anyone considering their services, be cautious about the quality and their approach to customer service. I hope they improve their handling of situations like this...
Read moreWent in for "acrylic tips with gel paint" and a regular pedi. I was given a Gel X manicure, when my initial ask was for acrylic tips with gel polish. To start, my nails were over filed which made them instantly painfully sensitive, then cuticles were cut several times causing bleeds. The heat lamp burned and I have never said "OW" more times in a nail appointment.
I was asked if I wanted something to drink and was never brought the beverage. I was never shown any colors and I kept asking, "Are there colors I can look at"? So then when it was time for the color, the technician tossed some in my lap and wanted me to choose something immediately, when I hadn't had any time to decide. I was very rushed. When she was done painting, she got up and said, "I'm done" and walked off and never asked if I liked them. There were actually some issues I would have liked fixed, but she literally never came back.
The woman working on my pedicure didn't speak english and brought a color pink that didn't match my nails as I had asked. The water for the pedicure burned my ankles and was way too hot. At the end of the service, I was charged WAY more than what I thought the service would cost.
I chose not to leave a large tip because the service was not good, and then I got a text from my credit card that I was charged several dollars more than what I selected for total + tip. Something shady is going on with the charges and this service is NOT good.
I just got home and even after an hour, my regular pedicure is really thick and still mushy and I can tell it will not cure well and will start to dent/rub off as soon as I wear shoes. Now I need to go to CVS to buy nail polish remover and polish to re-do my toes myself before my big trip overseas. Do...
