I had a horrible experience last night at Sherman oaks regal. My friends and I went to see beetlejuice last night (Spent $61 for tickets) and before we went into the movie we stopped at the bar. There was a group of 4 people to my left, then a small group to my right and myself with my 2 friends with 2 bartenders working. We were standing at the bar for at least 6 minutes without even being acknowledged when we made a joke about wanting a margarita. Jed got upset and started yelling at us about how we can’t see that he’s helping other people and how we are being rude. I explained that it was a joke and I told him that he hadn’t even acknowledged us at all after we had been standing there for a while. He said we didn’t understand that there was a line(which there wasn’t) and that we were being Karen’s; simply because I expressed my disappointment in not even being acknowledged and served as we were now late for our movie. He then stated that he was refusing service and proceeded to continue to be disrespectful and rude. This is in no way how someone in the customer service industry should act, it’s really disgusting honestly. We were paying customers who were going to spend even more money on drinks and on food and the fact that this was my first(and last) time here makes it even worse. On top of that one of the other workers who we were speaking with stated that she herself does not like Jed and that she has heard from other people as well that he is rude and disrespectful. We asked to speak with the manager which was Jason or Justin who was on duty. This young kid comes out and has no communication skills whatsoever. We explain the situation and then he just walks away to the bar. When he comes back(about 10mins later) he immediately sticks his head in his phone and starts texting while we’re standing there waiting to see what is going to happen. I mention that we would like to know what’s going on because it was rude and uncalled for what jed did and he just said yeah he’s not serving you. No explanation, no I’m sorry really no repercussions for his actions at all. My friends and I will never visit a regal theater due to the lack of customer service skills, communication skills and unprofessional staff and a manager who has no idea how to speak with people and diffuse situations. You guys should really rethink who you have...
Read moreI've been to plenty of Arclights and this one is by far the worst. We showed up for a daytime movie and there were no employees at the desk. Only kiosk purchases available. Unfortunately I wasted my time at 2 of them before finding one who's card reader worked. strike 1. Secondly, there were 2 people working at the snack bar. This is on a weekend when you have the most people showing up during the day. But only one guy at the register, and one other person walking around prepping stuff. The guy at the register was so slow. He literally would disappear for a bit in the back every minute. By the time I got to order, my movie was starting. That's 10 minutes for 2 people in front of me! I felt bad for everyone behind me. Strike 2. So I sat down, sipped my drink, and what do you know? It tasted like plain selzter water. Someone forgot to put syrup in the coke machine. I get out of my seat (movie trailers started btw) and walk directly up to the guy and showed him my coke was the color of Sprite. So he dumped it out and put it into the second machine, which this time I actually saw color coming out of it. But now the machine won't stop and he's frantically trying to press buttons and my soda is spilling all over the machine, the ice, the counter. Sigh. Strike 3. Did I mention he gave me the wet cup that had overflowed? Didn't even offer me a clean one or wipe it down. By the time I got back to the movie and drank the soda again, yes, there was syrup in it, but BARELY. It was literally the faintest taste of coke. If I handed this to someone they would have guessed it to be "watered down diet Coke". Anyways, my hot dogs weren't hot, and it got drowned in mustard. I had to wipe it off. Just such a terrible experience. The movie was wayyy too loud. So loud, I saw someone outside complaining when I was walking back into the theater with my soda. Never...
Read moreWent to "Tuesday discount day" when movies were $6.50, but parking was $27 WITH validation bringing the price of the movies to $20 each after seeing two movies back to back. What a scam rip off! Totally dishonest. Validation for parking means it should be FREE. Don't go here to see movies. I cannot imagine what you would need to pay if you saw an evening movie or two and ate dinner nearby...What $50 per movie?! No movie times posted to buy tickets. Staff unhelpful. No one directs you to the theater location. Everyone is more concerned about selling food than tickets, taking their sweet time. Movies start extremely late. Lots of commercials and trailers. No signs in the parking lot directing you to the entrance or to the theater. Parking is at least a half mile from the theater on the 3rd floor. Discount Tuesday prices have gone up $1.50 and now require a Regal membership app giving your personal information. They still do not post movie times information and only sell tickets at the food court. Commonly there are 30-40 minutes of movie trailers and commercials before movies. Takes forever to buy tickets because the food is sold simultaneously with selling tickets. There is no tickets purchase only line. Ticket sellers often attempt to charge full price on discount days. Lines are long yet often no one is working. Greeters/security should be selling tickets to make for a more pleasant experience. Why can't they just control the flow to ticket sales area? Why can't they post the movies and movie times?! Now they don't even post the movie name at the entrance of each theater! Construction work going on, but if the power is out for the signs, at least tape a piece of paper on the wall or door so you know you have the correct theater. The most poorly run theater ever! Bring your phone to figure out the movie starting times and to find out...
