I visited Skinsation LA in Los Angeles, and I was honestly surprised by how cool and different it felt. The spa is inside a fancy medical building near Beverly Hills, but the vibe is friendly, not snobby. When I walked into the spa it smelled like lavender, and the waiting area had gold accents, soft white couch, and a wall of glowing skincare bottles that looked like a beauty TikTok video.

I went in for a “lip flip” using Botox, and a nurse practitioner named Alix did my treatment. She’s known online as the “lip queen,” and now I get why she explained that the Botox goes just above the lip to give a natural lift without adding any filler. It only took 10 minutes and cost $195. It didn’t hurt much, and my top lip looked fuller but not fake just three days later.

Then I got a DiamondGlow facial they use a real diamond-tip wand to exfoliate and suck out gunk. The serum they used smelled like watermelon, and I saw blackheads come out in real time. My skin felt super clean and shiny, and there was zero redness after.

What makes Skinsation LA special is how honest they are. They show before/afters on Instagram that don’t look filtered, and they actually say no to people who want too much filler. Also, they offer Morpheus8 (a skin-tightening treatment with radio waves and microneedles) and the “butt facial”, which I had never heard of!

Think: Westside-level results with Koreatown-level convenience. And for the parking You’ll thank yourself for going during the day street meters are usually open, and there’s even a parking structure nearby if needed.

Now for the treatments: Their injectables game is strong especially lip fillers and Botox. Alix the injector (often called the “lip queen”) clearly knows facial anatomy. She gives volume without distortion, which is huge in a city where “duck lips” still roam free.

I went in for a consult, expecting a hard sell. Instead, it felt very tailored—no upselling, just honest feedback. I ended up doing a mini lip plump and some baby Botox, and the results were subtle but polished. Think: “refreshed at Erewhon,” not “influencer at Catch.”

They also offer Morpheus8, IPL, microneedling with PRP, and even salmon DNA injections (yes, that’s a thing now). I haven’t tried those yet, but I saw two clients walk out glowing and grinning, so I’m tempted.

From the moment I walked into Skinsation LA I was met with elegance, professionalism, and luxury. I cannot get over how grateful I am to my friend and hairstylist for sharing this Gem with me. Alex was thorough when going over my medical history, she answered all my questions eloquently and professionally as well. What I loved was that she did not rush through answering my questions and she did not push for an upsell. She listened to my needs and wants and made me feel comfortable throughout the whole process. I did 25 units on my forehead and 5 units around the eyes. It’s been one week since my visit to Skinsation LA and I can honestly say I am loving Loving LOVING MY RESULTS!
