Union Station is a very nice historic building with so many tracks its dizzying. The decorations harken to a long lost era. However, can't help to worry about the surrounding area with the amount of homelessness and drug addiction. We arrived in the late evening train around 10pm, and we were so uneasy moving around the desolate parking area. And there was a man clearly drugged right at the exit of the parking that had me mentally figuring out how to handle any situation. He was almost blocking the exit. God Bless the less fortunate. I would like to take this time out to thank all the drivers and operators of transportation in California l.a. Hawaii etc these guys are really the real heroes not the cops not the security but the bus they basically perform a homeless shelter for the disparaged during the night it looks like a great migration or an exodus so many homeless people just crawling onto the bus it made me really admire the bus drivers and some of them still had good attitudes and we're really patient do some didn't have as much patience as others the overall group effort is phenomenal and I praise the transit...
Read moreIt is clean and organized. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing I can say is that the information on the Departure Board is not so accurate. The information about the Train no. is different on the actual train and doesn't match on the Departure board. It says train no. 606, but when you get to the assigned gate, the train's no. is 611. It's confusing to passengers. They should also show the Destination on the teleprompter on the side of the train, to alleviate passengers having to ask around where's the destination...
