Our recent visit to Universal Studios Hollywood in March 2024 was nothing short of spectacular! This iconic theme park perfectly blends thrilling attractions, captivating shows, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the movie-making magic that Hollywood is famous for.
We visited on a Saturday, which is typically a busy day, but the organization and efficiency of the park staff made the experience smooth. We purchased our tickets in advance, which I highly recommend, as it saved us considerable time at the entrance. We only had to wait about 20 minutes to get in, thanks to the well-managed entry process.
The rides are top-notch, with favorites like Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and the Jurassic World ride delivering heart-pounding excitement and stunning visuals. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was a particular highlight, with its immersive environment, incredible attention to detail, and delicious Butterbeer.
The Studio Tour is a must-do, providing an inside look at real movie sets and special effects. It’s fascinating to see where so many iconic films and TV shows have been made. The tour guides are knowledgeable and entertaining, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Universal Studios Hollywood also offers a great variety of shows and entertainment. The WaterWorld show was a standout, with impressive stunts and special effects that kept us on the edge of our seats.
The food options throughout the park are diverse and delicious, catering to all tastes. From themed restaurants like Three Broomsticks to quick bites, there’s something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the variety of international cuisine available.
One of the best aspects of our visit was the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. They were always ready to assist and ensured that our experience was smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, Universal Studios Hollywood exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s a fantastic destination for families, movie buffs, and thrill-seekers alike. We can’t wait to return and experience the magic...
Read moreUniversal Studios Hollywood is one of our absolute favorite places to visit! No matter how many times we go, there’s always something exciting to see, do, and eat. The mix of thrilling rides, immersive worlds, and behind-the-scenes Hollywood magic makes it such a unique experience.
One of the biggest highlights is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Walking through Hogsmeade feels like stepping straight into the movies, and the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride is an absolute must. From sipping butterbeer to exploring Ollivanders, it’s a dream for any fan.
We also love The Simpsons area, which brings Springfield to life with fun details and delicious food (those giant pink donuts are a must-try!). The Studio Tour is another favorite—it’s such a cool behind-the-scenes look at real movie sets, complete with surprises like the King Kong 3D experience and Fast & Furious: Supercharged.
The Jurassic Park ride (now Jurassic World–The Ride) is always a thrill, especially that final drop! And speaking of incredible theming, Super Nintendo World is amazing. The level of detail makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a real-life video game, and Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge is such a fun and interactive ride.
On top of all that, the food options are fantastic—there’s something for every craving, from classic theme park treats to unique dining experiences. And with live entertainment and street performances happening throughout the park, there’s always something fun going on.
If you’re a fan of movies, theme parks, or just great entertainment, Universal Studios Hollywood is an absolute must-visit. We can’t...
Read moreI visited for two days in May. My son and I had a brilliant day. The staff went out of their way in the morning to make sure he had a great day. One staff member gave him a first visit button. I think that hour between 9 and 10 was a special part of the day. Other staff members helped us with how to make the rides more enjoyable for him and which ones he may like. He loved the Splash park. Please bring a towel, water shoes, and a change of clothes if your kids plan to do that! We had to improvise and my son had wet feet for the day.
Super Nintendo world was his favorite. However, I splurged on the band. I did think that the challenges should have been included. With the band, it was so much fun for a 7 year old Mario fan. He loves Mario Kart too. It's sunny, so most people head down there first thing. Bring hats. I found an umbrella helped. Toad Cafe: reserve early if you would like to go. There is a QR code at the land entrance. It was really fun with Mario themed food. It is also a sit down restaurant and the staff were really nice. It's indoors and nice to duck into after being in the sun.
In short, a lot of people went out of their way to make it a good day. The rides were fun but many are too scary for younger kids. I felt like younger kids can still have fun, but it takes more money to buy things like the Mario wrist band or Harry Potter wand. The themed food is also a highlight.
Finally, the characters walking around are great. Frankenstein in particular went out of his way to be kind to my son who looked overwhelmed. He gave...
