I have lived in this apartment for several years. This one-star review is for this terrible building. Read the reviews of those who have lived here for years and left a 1-star review. We know what it's like to live here. We had the same awful events in this building. Hopefully after this review they make changes. I don’t want anyone to endure what I did. Every night there were loud droplets coming from the kitchen. I thought it was coming from the fridge. The maintenance could not find the problem. I ended up getting use to the loud droplets in my kitchen so I slept through it. Keep this in mind until the end of this review. My place was next to a common area, there were times people did not respect the curfew rule of not hanging out past 11:00pm. They would be there until 3:00am and sometimes come knock on my door then run off. The fire alarms go off A LOT in this building between 12:00am -6:00am. I feel bad for our firemen who always have to come because it is always due to a false alarm. Then the Geokey app was introduced to us. Instead of having an actual key, you use an app to open any door in the building including your apartment door. There were multiple times when I encountered at the main entrances and elevator doors in the garage where groups of people were locked out because none of their Geokey apps worked and neither did the keypads on the door. There were times my Geokey app would not load or my keypad on my apartment door would not work at all. I called maintenance. I waited an hour for him to arrive because he didn’t live in the premises. As he was opening my door, he said under his breath “Everyone hates these. Everyone wants an actual key.” He ended up giving me an actual key since this was happening to me so many times. He was tired of the Geokey app just like we all were. Then they started the construction in the common area which caused mice to come into my apartment. One morning, I went to the garage to get my car. Someone broke my passenger side window and several other people's cars. I told the office and they said they were sorry and there was nothing they could do about it. AGAIN READ THE REVIEWS. These car break-ins happen a lot in the premises of this apartment complex. Remember the loud droplets? It finally reached its peak. I walked into my kitchen, water broke out from the dashboard between the stove and air conditioner. This was not a small leak. It was buckets of water. I had to use large king size blankets in order to stop it. This was a complete fire hazard. I wish the office would have offered me a different apartment until it was fixed.
Then the flooding came from the Ohio river. We thought they were going to be merciful on the upcoming rent because we weren’t in our apartment for more than 10 days but they weren’t until someone pointed it out. The rent was higher than last month's rent. LG&E were not merciful to us either. The apartment finally gaves us a credit for the next month’s rent.
I went on vacation. When I came back I had a gut feeling something happened to my car while I was gone. I went to the garage and my car was gone. I called the police. It was towed. The apartment credit from the flooding ended up me using it to pay to get my car back. I wish the apartment would have fought harder for my car not to get towed, check my portal for the license plate number to make sure the car belongs to a resident who lived in the building. I recommend maybe residents be given a small sticker to place on the back of the car’s windshield (without the name of this apartment)? To use your phone service in this building was terrible. I don’t recommend this apartment to absolutely no one. For the sake of your sanity and life. I always walk to my apartment with fright and stress saying “What now?” You will like the staff but at the end of the day, you are looking for a place you can...
Read moreJust the worst experience ever. The apartment itself was awesome. It was my dream apartment but everything else has been a total nightmare. I decide to move out after 4 years as I don’t feel the community is worth spending thousands of dollars a month!. Feces, urine, and vomit littered the hallways year round. It was putting my dogs at risk of diseases and was not promoting health and wellness in the community. I hated the smell hitting you in the face every time you come home from work. Having to hold your breath and play hopscotch with pee puddles in the hallway. My dogs didn’t like walking through the building and would hug the wall to get around soiled spots. My lease agreement also stated amenities such as a pool that was only open a handful of days in 4 years. I was just ready to move out because of everything from homeless camps outside, trash everywhere, disgusting hallway carpets, power outages while you’re in the middle of making dinner that last forever, rude management staff, or the harassment I received to fork over money to the maintenance man because he forgot to service the AC units properly and it flooded and destroyed all of MY belongings. But then when I finally go to move out, they make a clerical error that forced me to be evicted at 4:00 PM on a Friday. Even tho I have never had any issues, gave a 60 day written notice, never missed a payment, never paid late, and never had any negative interactions with anyone in the community. They demand my keys or more money on the spot that I didn’t have readily available, or I was being evicted the next business day. I submitted to their request and packed up all my belongings moved out over a few days, weeks before my lease was actually up, I had a company come and deep clean throughly and left the place in great shape. I have now been homeless for over two weeks waiting in limbo for them to finalize my move out and determine if they are going to continue their retaliation. I have messaged the portal, replied to emails, called, left voicemails, left reviews, and reached out to the corporate owners and no one will communicate with me. So even tho I’m trying to settle up and close out on good terms, I’m sure I have some insane unknown pending bill and an eviction they will try to slap me with. I complied with their unreasonable requests. I’m nearly 40 years old and never ever had any issue with anyone I have ever rented from. I was a model tenant. Why they have to be this way is a mystery. But I have lost sleep and dealing with the anxiety of what are they going to try to do to me now, or if we will have to go to court. Or if they processed an eviction anyway just out of spite. I moved out nearly 2 weeks before my lease was even up (because they demanded it not because I was ready) left the property in great condition, I have never missed a payment or been late, and spent nearly 57000 with them. Idk what else I could possibly do to get them to treat me with any dignity or respect other than throwing cash at them while they treat me like crap. Even after I have moved out and will be homeless until I can find if/when/how they are going to retaliate again. It’s really not fair to treat good people or anyone this way for...
Read moreAvoid this place! We applied for one of the newer (much nicer) 1 bedroom apartments and ended up getting one of the older, outdated apartments without being told we would be getting a completely different apartment than what we toured and signed for. The only reason we agreed to sign the lease was because we only wanted the newer, much more modern apartments, which were also listed at a cheaper price than what we ended up getting. The rent was very high for a small 1 bedroom and they charge you for every little thing. Maintenance requests might as well not even exist because they never get done. The elevators are ALWAYS out of service and we lived on the 3rd floor. The building had nothing but issues and it seemed like all they would do was patch things up and move along. Parts of the ceiling in the parking garage would just fall out and land on cars and then it would take days or sometimes weeks to clean it up. The gate to the parking garage was broken every other week, seemingly. The building switched to geo keys which was a huge mistake and inconvenience, the Geokey hardly ever worked and when it did work, it takes a long time to connect and open the doors. Our geo key stopped working and we couldn’t use the code on the pad to get in, so we were just locked out until it finally worked. The package room is a nightmare to try and find your packages, so good luck with that. Aside from 2 people in the office in my experience, the staff were awful and didn’t care about your issues or concerns at all. When thunder was going on, they decided to rent out the parking garage to anyone attending the event when we THE RESIDENTS pay monthly to have a safe and secure parking garage!! Peoples cars were getting broken into all the time! The curtains in the living room are those cheap, ugly plastic panel curtains. Two of the panels broke just by trying to slide the curtains open and they charged us $30 for those cheap things. The curtains were nearly impossible to slide as is, and the window stuck so bad I could barely get that to open either. The carpets in the hallways were disgusting and never got cleaned, and always smelled like garbage. The pool was hardly ever open and the fitness center is a joke. They made this big announcement about a new and improved fitness center opening and then when it finally opened several weeks later, it was hilarious, they just combined the two very small gyms into one. The dryer was a cheap piece of junk, every time we did laundry, we would have to run the dryer 2 or 3 times to actually dry our clothes. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this place! There are plenty of other places to rent in the area, don’t make the same mistake we made...
