Lubbock Downtown Farmers Market — Attraction in Lubbock

Friendly vendors, often in short supply. The market would greatly benefit from an increase in the number of booths available each week.

There are a handful of farmer's selling produce, but only a select few understand competitive market pricing. Very few people are will to pay 2-3x more for local non-certified produce when compared to the organic selection at Costco and Sprouts.

That said, there are a few farmers offering competitive products at fair prices, and we do purchase from them. Judie Briggs from Briggs Homegrown Farm offers great seasonal produce and small seedling plants at great prices.

There are a few other vendors selling premade soaps, pet treats, etc.

Overall, a very enjoyable little market that well continue...

The great experience especially for local native Lubbockites who may be are accustomed to shopping at the grocery store. Prices vary, from vendor to vendor and since vendors change going each time to see who's regular and see who's new is totally worth the trip. From dog treats to fresh produce to baked goods to food vendors, it's a great walk through early morning and you can't help but pick up one...

Great place to spend a Saturday morning. Friendly people and a nice selection of fresh fruit and veggies. Arts and crafts food trucks, family and pet friendly. I'm new to Lubbock and have found this a great place to pick the brains of locals for things to see...
