Rustlers — Restaurant in Lubbock

I found it on Google Maps so I had no idea that you had to go inside the hotel in order to get to the place. When I found out how to get in there and I went I was so glad that I did. I'm 56 years old and been a truck driver for the last 28 years. I've had chicken fried steak all over this country, but never have I had one with the taste and quality of this one. This Texas size chicken fried steak was actually Texas sized and had the best flavor of any I have ever had in my life. There was no knife needed stick the fork in it and pull it out and you had a perfectly mouth sized piece that was absolutely delicious. The armosphere was very nice, we came in around 5 pm and it was quiet, we sat ourselves and our server was right with us.

We got the chips and queso and it was very good, just like the queso you would make at home.

I got the penne pasta and I will say it was probably one of the best pastas ive had in a while from a restaurant and it was cheap!

Very good chicken fried steak. Large, good flavoring, good fries. The only issue I had was that Rustlers wasn’t open, even though their kitchen was… I had to eat in the next door hotel bar. Although the food was good, I did not really want to eat in a hotel bar (not drinking this month ; ). I guess they do this regularly while there aren’t many hotel guests.
