Let me start with the FEW positives with the hotel. Great Breakfast, staff wasn't bad and that is pretty much it. There is a few smells going on at the hotel, One was the elevator and parts of the hall ways smelt like armpits (sweaty stinky ones) and YES there is a musty smell in the halls, and the other smell was weed. The moment we arrived there was a man that was getting high outside and yes he was a guest and the smell followed up inside up the stairs and down the hall. I understand that the hotel cannot control everything their guest do. In other reviews people state that the hotel is outdated and the hotel customer service comes back with the response "Please visit us again we remodeled in 2017". I stayed there March 2019 and whoever chose to "remodeled" this place didn't do a very good job. It is stuck in the 70's and things they should have fixed or replaced they did quick fixes, like a molded tub they decided to cover it with a silicone sealant, the tub itself is chipping inside, the paint on the walls seem like the may have put a coat of wall paper and attempted to paint. The bathroom floor and entry are the cheapest laminate flooring you can find, The tub does not drain and BE CAREFUL they are EXTREMLY slippery, myself, my husband, and my mother all slipped even after I gave them a heads up. My parents had to have the shower head replaced because it wouldn't change to anything except a jet stream which hurts and the water was spilling out from the side of the shower. The carpets are old and questionable I wouldn't let my daughter sit on them or play. The rooms have very thin walls so anyone going in out and out of their room at all hours of the night kept you up. The air conditioner is loud and coated in thick heavy dust. The parking is narrow and cars got scraped. Ice chest was stolen from a friends truck on a previous visit. The area that the hotel is located in is a little deceiving they state that they are in a good area, however there were SEVERAL homeless people walking around and the area and sleeping across the street. You go down a few blocks and there is more homeless people and they were looking in the back of trucks to see what they could find, I myself was on edge when going to get the kids something to eat and I have never felt that way in Lubbock. My advice for the hotel, is security, and a REAL remodel and REAL repairs. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and if you have any doubts about staying there I hope that this review helps you make an...
Read moreWe stayed at MCM Elegante for 4 nights in the King suite. The price was great & definitely affordable. They put us on the 1st floor Atrium, which was convenient, cuz I can't walk far. We were initially going to stay for 3 nights, but had to extend. Staff was helpful to give me good rate for the 4th night. Housekeeping is daily, or however often you prefer. Front desk dispatch is speedy for anything else you need during the stay.
Room was clean & comfortable. Microwave , Keurig coffee, refrigerator & space to store snacks, leftovers & beverages. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful with hot, cold & portable offerings. Made to order egg & omelette station for custom fare. Staff will give you to-go boxes if you don't have time to eat there, or if someone in your room hasn't woken up yet. That includes hot/cold beverages of your choice. We ate at Rustler's Cafe a couple of times for lunch & dinner. Delicious food, good service & priced right. We had cocktails in the Chill Zone lounge area. Drinks priced right, variety of house & top shelf spirits, as well as beer and wine. Bartender so friendly & helpful.
We used the indoor pool during our stay. It was so nice to swim after a long day. There's a pool monitor employee that oversees the area. There's always clean towels stocked, rules posted, lounge chairs. We really enjoyed it. Next time we're in town we'll stay here again. Will be our go to hotel in the future. Thank you...
Read moreWow😑😑!! Unbelievable!! To call this an MCM Elagante is more then a strech!! We have stayed in others and this one is ran down, big time! The lobby inside is hot as hell, outdated, the pool area were there's little girls swimming has no privacy for anyone and it's right in front of the ONLY elevator in the building 😠😠!! The elevator is slowest😵🐌🐌, I've never seen one that slow. The ice machines on all the floors did not work, the room was hot, the air conditioning barely cools, I had 3 freaking hairs and an eye lash on the bedding(yes I have pictures) and under the bed was trash were it was never cleaned🤢🤢!! The walls were bubbled from water damage, a light didn't work by the bed, the toilet was almost over flowing on us, shower and sink had very little pressure and was horrible as my head was almost touching the ceiling in the tub!! Wow, for a $138 dollars!! I wouldn't give you 60 bucks for this suite!! You owners should be ashamed, the iga properties out of odessa or whatever its called!! Disgraceful!! Fix this hotel or shut it down!! Horrible to treat customers who trust in your brand from other city's and take their hard earned money and give them a bad deal and you know it!! Shameful, I hope the prices are dropped in half until this property is fully remodeled!! No excuse for letting a property go like this and still charging people bottom top dollar! Do not stay here!! I DO Not...
