My husband and I have lived at Alderwood Court Senior Apartments for nearly three years, now, and we're very comfortable and happy here.
We've established wonderful new friends, and from the very first day, we've made many lovely acquaintances. ACSA residents are good people who are friendly and caring. It's kind of comforting to know our neighbors are in similar "boats" as we and that most folk can relate to our struggles with aging (there are a few of those) and the joys, as well.
PROS: • The current management, Barbara (manager) and Trisha (assistant), and our maintenence engineer, Alem, are just about the best team you can find. They each work very hard and go above and beyond to help make ACSA a safe, attractive, convenient, and pleasant place to live. Repairs are made to great satisfaction and in a very timely manner. I cannot praise our management team enough! • ACSA has lots of opportunities for socialization. Residents can participate in games, activities, and outings as much or as little as we wish and are able. And, for those who are interested, there are also many opportunities to volunteer in ways that help make our little ACSA neighborhood a more interesting, welcoming, homey, and fun place. • For those who don't drive, there are a number of programs available for transportation in Lynnwood and beyond; our own ACSA van makes two grocery store trips one day a week; and there is a metro bus stop very near our corner.
CONS: • Our apartments are quite small, they do not have garbage disposals nor dishwashers, and they don't have much storage space. • Be sure to ask about the rules for furniture placement in your new apartment before moving your furniture in. There's not room for a whole lot once the rules are followed. • It seems ACSA rents increase every year, which can be stressful, difficult, or sometimes even impossible on a fixed income.
My husband and I absolutely recommend ACSA to seniors who are looking for a well-maintained, secure, more affordable, attractive, and pleasing place to call home.

Read moreThank you to the exceptional Resident Support and Maintenance Teams at Alderwood Court! Both are professional, friendly and caring of the residents. Very appreciative of all that you do! In particular, Kenia from the front office, is truly an exceptional member of the Team. Kenia has a very positive attitude and a friendly manner and she shows genuine concern for each resident. Recently she came to the rescue of my 91 year old Mom when my Mom's cell phone froze, her cellphone is her lifeline especially when she is away from the apartment. Kenia noticed my Mom having issues and she kindly offered to help and quickly resolved the issue. Kenia also facilitated a maintenance issue in my Mom's apartment, within 10 minutes Kenia submitted a work request and before the end of that day the Maintenance Team had already...
Read moreThis is a lovely place to live. Recently when hindered by the CDC guidelines the staff seems to be almost afraid to talk to us . It may be because they can only take directions from "corporate". Example: When a few of us wanted to plant some spring color in the two primary pots at the front door we were told that the $12. we asked for wasn't available for us! We paid for the flowers ourselves! What! No sprinklers coming on & may be why the trees have dead branches! Please we need everything that brings a brightness to our days here whether we view our grounds from above or as we walk to our cars or a bus throughout our day at...
