I came in on a Wednesday evening hoping to get a Vietnamese coffee before a 12 hour Night Shift. The girl behind the counter that took my order was friendly and shared some recommendations. Everything was going well until it was time to pick up my drink.
The girl who made my drink was incredibly rude. First she slammed my drink down on the counter. She didnāt call out my drink nor my name or an order number (when she had called out drinks before me). I approached the counter to see if the drink was mine. When I asked the girl who made my drink if it was mine, she immediately got an attitude and asked if I had an order number. Before I could even answer, she walked away. She refused to even make eye contact with me, which was jarring.
I ended up asking the girl who took my order if it was my drink and she said yes. She apologized for the other person, I got my drink and left.
In the day and age where many black people are not being treated well by several businesses, Iād advise others to continue to be mindful of where they spend their money. Itās really unfortunate that just one personās terrible attitude can ruin the face of a business. And even more unfortunate for me in this instance as I was looking forward to trying other things...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhile the atmosphere in here was okay, my experience was unfortunately marred by poor customer service. As for the drinks, I found them to be decent but not exceptional. I was expecting something truly special given the hype. I would say they were on a par with many other places I have visited, but nothing that would make me rush back. One of the more frustrating aspects of my visit was the arcade game inside that had cute fluffy croissant keychains. Each try was a dollar, and I thought it would be a fun distraction while we were waiting for the drinks. However after two attempts, we wouldn't be able to make the machine work and wouldn't be able to get our money back either. So I went to cashier to ask if there was a problem. That`s when I learned that the machine only accepts quarters and they wouldn't issue a refund for the failed tries since they don't own the machines. I told them I used quarters for the both attempts. What really frustrated me was the lack of signage indicating that the machine had this specific requirement. It also felt unfair, especially knowing that this has happened multiple times to other customers before. If they are aware of the issue , they should definitely put up a sign to prevent others from wasting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love the Ding Tea in U District and was super excited to come here. But I have to say Iām highly disappointed with my experience and thought for once it was necessary to leave a review.
The first thing I noticed walking in was pretty interior design, but plants covered with dust and boxes everywhere. Secondly, I ordered my usual drink with less sweetness and the first girl was nice. But the two others working there looked like very cold and unenthusiastic even though I thanked them once more before walking out.
The drink felt like it was 150% sweetness and my boyfriend told me I should go back and get my moneyās worth because 1) boba is expensive and 2) it was too sweet to drink. I went back and was met with extreme rudeness. The other girl working there came up to me and I asked if they could possibly just pour some liquid out and add some water and that would be good. Yet, she just chucked it in the trash wastefully and did not say anything to me after she remade it. She was highly rude but I just thanked her and left. The drink turned out to be too sweet again so my boyfriend went back in and the same girl was then rude to him.
Overall, just a very disappointing experience for a franchise I...
