Apartments are priced at the top of the local market, but are average in size and layout, nothing special. Parking can be a problem after 8pm on most days. Amenities are nice to look at, but how much do you hang out at your apartments office and use the hot tub? There's enough new units in the area that a little looking seems like it'll produce a better value. The management was obsessed with dog poo for a 6 month period. They'd spam notices about dog poo, and genetic testing of dog poo, and paper even units (like mine) that didn't have any pets. It was a little funny at first, and then annoying. Ground floor units have a problem with people walking up to the building and trying the doors and windows, sometimes during the day, sometimes at night. Kinda creepy. I installed a wood blocking bar on the sliding glass door, and kept the windows closed and locked, but there's no air conditioning in this building, and well, it kinda sucked in the summer.
After I gave notice they offered me a "special" rate - from $1712 a month to $2900 a month if I wanted to go month-to-month. To end a lease a month early they wanted to charge me $300 more than my monthly lease payment. Both of these seem excessive. They REALLY want you to sign a 10 to 12 month lease, but to charge folks who want a few weeks longer nearly double the lease rate seems like highway robbery.
All in all I would not recommend this complex or its...
Read moreI lived at Alderbrooke for a year at D201. I recently moved out because I want to rent a 2 bedroom, but they don't have one available.
Place is very quiet and community is not too noisy. Plenty of parking space and carport available. House appliances are operable with no visible wear or tear. If anything break down, Tyler (maintenance specialist on site) will fix it fairly quickly and timely. Ashleigh and Linda from the Office are very nice and forthcoming. You can swing by anytime and they will answer your questions. I was hesitant at first to rent here due to reviews regarding molds. However, I have not seen a single mold during my stay even though I rarely open my windows or let the sun into my house. Easy access to Alderwood Mall, Costco, Hmart, Target, Best Buy, and a lot of restaurants on 196th ST (like 10 min drive)
Overall, if I ever need to move apartment again, I would try to...
Read moreI have lived here 8 years as of June of 2021. This community is by far the best one I have lived in to date. Aside from fact that Alderbrooke is conveniently located to everything you could possibly need, it is truly a comfortable place to come home to. It’s got all the amenities you could want/need, a great floor plan layout, beautifully landscaped, and a staff that truly cares. Linda and Ashleigh are always so kind when I go into the office. Tyler goes above and beyond the call of duty.! He informed me of a huge oil leak that I was unaware of and may have saved me from a breakdown on the freeway. And he diligently keeps the grounds safe during inclement weather. As I stated previously, I’ve been here 8 years and I do NOT have any plans to move in the near future. If you need a home in Lynnwood, I truly recommend checking this...
