Alderwood Nails — Attraction in Lynnwood

This used to be my go to nail salon, however I will not be back for a few different reasons. 1- Since ownership changed the quality of the manicures and pedicures has not been the same. They used to be flawless and now they leave much to be desired. 2- At my last visit I noticed that the equipment and tools are not being sterilized between clients. Watched as the cheesegrater that was just used on the previous client was rinsed off in the dirty pedicure bath and then placed back in the drawer...then the water was drained and refilled for the next customer. No cleaning or sanitizing took place between clients. Absolutely disgusting. 3- I took my 12 year old daughter in for a manicure and pedicure before a wedding. Her and I had 4 staff members working on our nails. Meanwhile they asked questions and then proceeded to make jokes amongst themselves in their native language. As they laughed more and more one of the women looked up and said "Oh she say she so tall" and gestured toward my daughter. Then all 4 of them burst out laughing and couldn't seem to stop. They left my 12 year old feeling uncomfortable and insecure. It was obvious that she was the butt of their jokes to her and I and they didn't seem to care. I am appalled and find it incredibly rude and unprofessional. Shame on these four women for bullying a child for their own personal entertainment especially a paying customer. They ruined my daughter's Mommy daughter spa day. 4 - They're always asking for the tip in cash. Pay your taxes like everyone...

I came here because I needed a fill and shorten my nails. I also had red nail polish that I wanted to change up to make it more skin color and natural looking. I've been here once before and another girl did a great job but this time was the worst experience. Like others said, they are loud and only speak in their language making you feel like you are bothering them. They don't talk to you but only with one another. she takes off the nail polish and fills my nails without making sure that the color is completely off my nails causing my nails to look like the Pictures posted. I was hoping she use her tool to file the red off the edges but instead she started to put the light color on top of these nails a s you could still see the old red color. When I asked her if she's gonna take the red off by filing she responded for me to pick a darker color so I wouldn't see the old color lol.... I couldn't believe it. I told her "no" I want the light color and to take off the old so she gets mad, rubs off the light polish and starts filing with the electrical again and cut me three times. It hurt so bad I had literally hot flashes and had to pull my hand away. At this point I told her not to worry because she really thought as my nail beds are cut and bleeding that she was gonna put polish on my skin WOW... never again. She said sorry and never Offered my money back. I walked out with half the work done, cut and hurt skin and no nail polish. My fingers...

Horrible, I went 3 times and was unhappy each time. My last experience with them was horrific. The nail tech was disrespectful and rude. I tried telling her what I want and instead of her trying to figure it out, she made assumptions. I tried correcting her the whole time she was doing my nail, but she blew me off. Then when she figured out what I wanted, she said I should have said that. As she continued doing my nails and I tried to tell her what else I wanted done to my nails, she yelled at me saying let her do it, not knowing what I was about to say. Then she was fussing about something almost the entire time she was doing my nails. She kept stopping to talk to the other ladies working there. Once I told her I was unhappy, she asked me to pay before she finish. I paid her and she continued to be rude. She put clear fingernail Polish on my hands and told me she was done. Not even telling me to sit under the dryer for them to dry. I had to ask where the dryer was. The other ladies showed me where it was....she was rude, unprofessional, and did not do a good job on my nails at all. I would not recommend this...
