Had never been to a BWW before, but I found a gift card Iād won at my office from way back in 2013. I called their corporate number and apparently the card was still valid, so I decided to treat my parents to dinner the next time I was visiting them in Lynnwood. TOTAL DISASTER.
The three of us arenāt big wing fans, but they have other things on the menu, so we decided to order chicken sandwiches instead. My dad and I went into the restaurant to place a to-go order, and the gal at the register looked like she had just started there. She was really nervous and didnāt even look at us. Then the manager was standing near her, saw what we were ordering, and was like āoh OK, so itās going to be about an hour and 45 minutes, we just put 750 wings on the fryer so weāre going to be busy with that for a whileā. We were very disappointed (and stunned) but decided to try again another time. This was a Thursday night, they looked really busy and football season had just started. So we thought maybe this was just a bad night.
So then a few weeks later we tried again. We tried to order online so we didnāt have to wait at the restaurant. But then we found out my old gift card didnāt have the 8-digit code we were required to enter. So we called the restaurant, and the manager (named Ryan) told us that was OK, we could order over the phone with it and pick up in 30 minutes. He transferred us to the gal at the front register, but right as we started ordering, the gal said the computer system had crashed and she had to get the manager to restart it. She told us to call back in 5 minutes. So we called again and she told us it still wasnāt back up yet. So then we called AGAIN and asked about it and she said āyes, please holdā and then we just heard hold music for another five minutes. Iām pretty sure she was just stalling because they were having some sort of problem at the restaurant. We thought that was very rude so we gave up (again) and now weāve decided weāre never going to use the card.
I know we might have had a weird request with the old gift cardābut if BWW says itās still valid, then the restaurant should be able to accommodate us no problem. Instead we were greeted with unhelpful and unfriendly staff all around. I wonder if other BWW locations are like this one. If thatās the case, then how are these guys even in business?
After both of these bad experiences, we decided to have dinner from my parentsā local teriyaki place which has been great...

Every year I pay a visit to Buffalo Wild Wings to retrieve my free side of wings from my rewards app. After walking into the restaurant, I was not greeted at all and had to personally walk up to the desk to get someone's attention. After I got the attention of someone, a African American male immediately told me that there is a shortage of Wings and unfortunately he couldn't give me the side of wings I asked for. After he told me that, I asked him if he can ask his manager if I can be substituted with something else and he seem irritated. After asking the manager if she can substitute me for something else, the female manager told me I can pick whatever else from the menu so I felt relieved at this point. I decided to choose the 5 piece breaded chicken tenders along with some sauces and the manager informed me that it would be 11 minutes. I waited more more 11 minutes for my take out order and after retrieving it, I was happy to go back home and eat it. Before leaving the parking lot, I checked on my food and discovered that the chicken tenders were the size of a pencil and I didn't even get full pieces at all! The fries were cold and the chicken didn't even feel hot at all. I was angry, so immediately went back inside and the African American server informed me that there is a shortage on chicken now apparently? He immediately gave me a attitude and was highly unprofessional, then got the manager. This time a different manager came out and it was a white male. The white male had a smirk and a attitude with my current situation and I asked for them to redo it. The white manager grabbed my bag of food and told me he will throw this away and make it exactly the same how it came out and it would be another 10 minutes. Do not ever come to this rip off of a location, unprofessional staff, management doesn't know how to respect customers, and I saw a cook through the kitchen doors not wearing gloves when handling the chicken while cooking it. Stay far away...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Lynnwood BWW has always had questionable service, being from the service industry and as someone who was employed at BWW for a couple years I totally get it. There are some variables in the business model that just donāt work unless everyone on the team is lifting their own weight and well, clearly that isnāt always going to be the case. But I sure do love the Mango Habanero wings so we are borderline regulars. Tonight we walked in (my husband, myself and a Mother in law) for dinner and it was apparently some big basketball game because the place was packed. I hesitated to even ask for the wait for a table because the service would likely be slow due to how busy it was, but we were offered a table in the bar. This review is solely to highlight the incredible service we got from Mariah tonight! We walked up to the ONLY available table in the bar and she swiftly wiped it down for us, took our drink order and food order. When she brought over the soft drinks to those at our table that ordered cokes, I caught her glance back at the bar to see if my whiskey drink was ready before she dropped the cokes off. She asked all the questions corporate wants you to ask (āCan I start you guys off with a blue moon or a margarita?ā āDid you guys save some room for dessert?ā) but ultimately just took fantastic care of us in an insanely busy restaurant. By far the best service Iāve ever had at a BWW. Mariah should get a raise for how attentive, prompt, friendly and overall how aware of her guests she was. All the marks of a fantastic service experience....
