DSHS Alderwood Community Service Office — Attraction in Lynnwood

It seems the Google page for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) has been deleted, along with my review. Therefore I will be reposting my review here:

I was working with Diane M. Shepard, a representative at the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation in Lynnwood and recently sent a complaint through DSHS regarding her behaviour. Jim O'Brien, the supervisor of Lynnwood DVR, repeatedly acted like I was being irrational for filing a complaint against Diane and was incredibly condescending. I suggested that Diane, as she was new, should redo some of her sensitivity training as she had joked about my history of DV/SA, stating, "Most people in your situation would find a significant other to financially support them, but given your history, I wouldn't recommend it." and laughing afterwards.

After my conversation with Jim, it is clear why Diane feels this behaviour is acceptable. Jim refused to admit any issue with the statement made by Diane, was dismissive of my concerns and was extremely rude. I hope the behaviour of this office can be addressed so that it doesn't continue to negatively impact the people they are meant to...

DSHS says they help family. Well they took a family to court because i guess its ok to have illegal mental health counselor, who will call you a pig, and make you draw pigs, and they dont take religion beliefs as law. My son has autism, and they still took our money away because instead of work skills class, it was drawing pigs, and listeing to fake therapist about mental health issues when they have 0 training in it. They look down on you, and half the workers their dont even know how to due their job. I was made to take a pregnancy test and im male. They harras those who need help, and they harass the mental illness as they dont hesitate to send all your private records to a court hearing, and they do what they can to make you look really bad when the truth is when people have medical issues, dental appointments, working witj housing organizations, and your childs autism, its better then drawing a pig. Todd and jean are idiots. Keep picking on muslims, shows a lot about there character....

I accidently went into the building about 3 & half yrs ago because Work Source was located upstairs. FYI - It's now a Revocational(?) Business for helping ppl return to the Workforce after injuries. Stopped into the DSHS Office to see if I cud borrow rent money. Left w/a $100 EBT Card. Came back to ask for help with gas money to move, get to Dr appts. When I explained what happened to me while working at SE & why they weren't helping me, they asked me to bring in all my Medical records from the time my medical problem occured. I met w/a Disability Professional who got me an advocate for SSDI. Lotsa tears, work, disappointments and mostly kind people who don't look at me like Im just looking for a handout... But a hand up!
