Stanleys Marble & Granite —SMG— — Attraction in Lyons Township

The folks at Stanley's Marble & Granite are top notch. From the moment I walked into the showroom all the way through installation (and even post installation), I received stellar service and guidance. Joanna was wonderful to work with. She helped me pick the perfect Quartz for my kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities. She took her time with me as I mulled over my options helping to point me in the right direction based on the information I shared with her. Joanna made sure I was looking at materials that would be within the budget amount I shared with her. Measurements were precise with great advice from Matt about a pole we had to work around in the kitchen. So glad I followed his advice. It looks amazing. Patrick made sure all my questions were answered as we prepared for installation and he provided great follow-up when I requested a touch up. This review has been a long time coming. While I was initially extremely satisfied with the customer service and pricing from Stanley's for my first ever kitchen remodel, that came to a halt when they opted to only use 2 of the necessary 3 slabs of granite that were agreed upon for my kitchen remodel. The end result is a very noticeable seal directly in the center of my breakfast bar. This was over 3 years ago and it still remains the very first thing my eyes are drawn to every single time I walk in my kitchen. When I immediately called the store as it was being installed, Matt assured me it would blend and I would never notice anything. When I asked why they decided to use scraps rather than the 3rd slab we agreed on, he said it was too costly for them. I trusted his opinion and let them install the 2 scraps as my focal point of my kitchen (I have regretted this decision ever since). I guess you live and you learn. NOT nice people at all. They act as it they are doing you a favor by selling you their products. Their attitude makes clear they are not in need of business nor do they have any good business ethics. Bad communication, they don’t return calls, stay away. After I posted this review the business responded trying to make my disappointment about their price. The price had nothing to do with anything. The issue with this business simply is that they are rude. They act like they don’t want or need your business. The prices Are not horrible if you can deal with the bad attitude. I chose not to give them my money because there were other places that are nicer to do business with for equal or little more money.
