East Town Plaza — Attraction in Madison

Nice fresh herbs and produce, live and frozen seafood, "specialty" meats and all kinds of asian food specialties as well as a fairly large selection of chinese traditional herbal and OTC medicines. Awesome food court including Hmong Kitchen and other purveyors of asian style "street food" far more interesting than the ubiquitous asian-american fare one would find in most shopping centers in America. Ross is usually my go-to store for deals on deeply discounted clothes, sheets, and housewares, but this Ross was deeply depressing. Nothing I saw struck my fancy. There are still many stores, but it's not the mall that I remember. There is a homeless shelter across the parking lot and you'll find many unfortunate homeless either in the mall or on the sidewalks around the mall.
