I recently graduated from the Ultrasound program provided here @ The Aquarius institute. This review is going to be nothing but honest . And if ultrasound is something you are interested in doing . . Do it !
First off this is an accelerated program , 18 months . Meaning you have to put the time into this but more importantly make the time to succeed. The teachers here are great , however since it’s accelerated we don’t have time to re go over information given in lecture , if you miss a day you will feel it .
You need to read , write down notes , re read and re do your notes to understand the concept and protocols that go into place here. I wish I would have done this more during my class times to help me understand the clinical portion more . However with that being said although I was not to confident with understanding the material ( I’m more of a hands on learner ) prior to starting clinicals the ultrasound Instructors at the clinical site made everything make sense and come full circle with what we had been learning classroom wise.
I want to give a HUGE thank you and shout out to Suhair & Nahid ( The ultrasound diagnostic techs ) for changing my life. They guide you through a very detailed abdominal and echo protocol , go over pathology , quiz you on what exactly it is that you are looking at to help make sure we understand what it is we are actually seeing and how to rule out any abnormalities or pathology . These ladies were patient , kind , loving , and caring . If I could do clinicals all over again I would I miss them so much ! They were truly the best part of the program .
Their echo protocol for example is over 75 images ! This may seem overwhelming and intimidating but trust me it’s better to know more to help prepare you for the field . I’m happy to say I was able to find a job right after graduation ( February 2025 ) And I am so grateful for their protocol ! I use it for my scanning at work ! The company I’m with tells me they love how clear my images are detailed the reports come out , and I would not have been able to do this with out Suhair & Nahid . ( I still hear them in the back of my head at times when scanning my patients “ center the image , increase the gain , what’s this , what’s that ) Right now my protocol is only 20 images compared to the 75+ we learned at school however every clinic, , hospital & mobile company are different , but with comparing learning their protocol to what i do now it is truly a walk in the park . And again this is all thanks to them .
I see reviews about us not being accredited. You are able to take your SPI right after physics . If you pass that , that makes you eligible to take your ARDMS . After clinicals you can then take your CCI . Most places say they want the school to be accredited, but trust me if you can get your credentials and you know how to scan and rule out pathology and abnormalities you will be hired .
Take advantage of the clinical portion and pick Suhair’s and Nahid’s brain , they will give you everything you need , but only if you show up and put the...
Read moreAs the Director of the MRI Technologist training program at Aquarius Institute, I am responding to the Google Review posted by Arabella Herrera. Arabella claims that awhile back she was a student of the MRI Technologist training program at Aquarius Institute and upon checking our MRI students data base, Arabella was not a listed name within our data base. This could possibly mean she was not a student at our institute. It is possible that she might have dropped the program or for various reasons dropped out of our training program. There are several reasons why students might have dropped out of our program with some of the most common reasons being, ie: they failed in one of the courses, could not attend the necessary classes due personal reasons, or found the accelerated program too demanding.
For an individual to evaluate the MRI Program at Aquarius Institute without ever having been a student of Aquarius Institute is an inaccurate evaluation. Also for her to state that only three MRI students in her class got jobs cannot be correct, since Arabella was never a student according to our database.
The majority of our MRI students who have passed ARMRIT Registry exam, are currently working as an MRI Technologist. In some years we had even seen about 80% to 100% of our MRI graduates working in this field.
ARMRIT stands for - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, and is an actual MRI registry to certify only MRI Technologists . This means our students are trained to solely perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging and no other medical imaging exams. The ARRT is an abbreviation for American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. ARRT is also used in the medical diagnostic testing field. However, these individuals also perform x-ray exams and are also able to perform Computerized Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) with the appropriate credentials.
ARMRIT recognizes Magnetic Resonance as a specialty, just like the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or ARDMS is considered a specialty Registry for Ultrasound / Echocardiography imaging. ARMRIT is an approved Registry by Medicare and other insurance companies, and accredited by the American College of Radiology, ACR.
I am sorry to say that this review is false or a fake to discredit Aquarius Institute. It also discredits our training program, and the hard work of our Aquarius Institute graduates who are helping patients every day by providing MRI scans with compassion and accuracy.
Many of our ARMRIT certified students are currently employed by many hospitals in Illinois and several other states in the United States for the past...
Read moreWhen I was searching the internet for a school for the ultrasound program, I found Aquarius Institute. I chose it based on the duration of the training since I already have a medical background. Now that I have completed courses in ultrasound physics, abdominal ultrasound, and echocardiography, I am confident that I made the right choice. The institute offers a pleasant atmosphere, a convenient training schedule, a well-structured program, and a responsive administration. The staff promptly answers calls and messages, assists in resolving any difficulties, and takes into account that most students are not recent high school graduates but adults with various family responsibilities. Mr.Hamza and Mr.Adam, thank you for your understanding and willingness to help! The institute has assembled a team of highly qualified instructors. While I did not have the opportunity to meet the medical terminology teacher personally, I have heard great reviews about him. Dr. Abir teaches ultrasound physics and abdominal ultrasound. He is an excellent educator with extensive teaching experience and expertise in ultrasound diagnostics. He has a remarkable ability to explain complex physical processes in a simple and comprehensible manner. Dr. Tehmina taught us echocardiography. She is a highly qualified specialist with vast medical knowledge and is a certified doctor. Dr. Tehmina strives to provide students with more knowledge than what is required by the textbook. She explains medical concepts in an accessible way and is deeply committed to helping her students achieve high scores on tests. She also conducts a preparatory course for border exams, focusing on key topics while providing additional material to enhance students’ education and uphold the institute’s reputation. But most importantly, she does all of this with great passion...
