Peach Valley Cafe — Restaurant in Maitland

The wait time was excellent but we waited longer for the server to come to our table than we did waiting to be seated. We were seated outside and maybe the outside seating were just pick up tables but who knows. We weren’t the only ones who were left unattended by this server. When the food came they forgot to bring out one of our plates and we had to wait another 5-10 minutes before the server came to ask us how we were doing before letting her know that we were missing a plate. When she brings the food out she says “sorry we have a new chef who didn’t seem to understand the concept.” Assuming that the plate was served incorrectly and/or the presentation was incorrect. Well the plate that was served was almost impossible to eat. They served way too much “sauce” that the bread was extremely soggy and not edible. When compared to a picture of what the meal was to look like it was obvious the presentation was way off. We ordered two plates that required chicken and to say it had absolutely no flavor is nice. The chicken was absolutely awful. The waffles were rock hard and not edible. We expressed our concerns and the kitchen manager did not care one bit. Nonetheless, we paid our meals and we left. Maitland, FL. Great service and really great grits, sausage gravy and biscuits made our drive here well worth it. It’s kinda far from where we live but Steve said he’d absolutely come back.

We sat on the large patio area that was nicely set up to feel special. It had misters going and we felt breezy and nice out there even though it was a hot July day. We enjoyed our meal very much.

This is a popular spot with locals. In fact, thigh, it’s kinda hard to spot. Even with Siri we thought we were turning into the Public Storage parking lot. Only after we did that did we see the restaurant.

Once inside the restaurant, though, you realize it’s a nice, Southern hospitality kind of place. I’ve been to another location and I feel this location’s patio was better. Also, the restaurant inside felt cozy and cool. The other location I’ve been to had a lot of orange accents. At this Maitland location the color scheme was more modern and cute.

The servers were prompt and worked well as a team.

Our server was appropriately welcoming and helpful and when I asked questions she chatted easily with us. I asked about other peach items on the menu and she said the peach hot sauce on the table sells out before Christmas! Also, they have added peach pancakes and peach waffles...

returned on 10/09/23 3.5 for the food / 4.5 for service We went for my second time here on Saturday at 11a. It was busy with an average wait time of 10-15 mins. While it was cooler outside, the sun was still strong, and most folks asked for indoor seating. When the booth seat became available for us, we wound up needing a different seating because it was uncomfortable due to the table squeezing me like a tomato. Once we were re-seated, our server Michelle came by and quickly got us going. I went with the chicken pot pie ($13). It was a very watery pot pie, but that worked out in the end. As I mentioned, it looked more like a soup with a few pieces of breast meat, peas, carrots, and a fresh thick biscuit on the top. I had to shake quite a bit of salt and pepper due to the slight blandness of the pot pie part, then I smashed down the biscuit and let it soak up the flavors and thickened it up. The chicken had that overly meaty flavor, which some fowl can have, but there wasn't a lot of the meat, so it wasn't too bad. Would I have it again? It is very much up in the air.
