Blake DeBock Gallery — Attraction in Mammoth Lakes

Just a few words of praise to a fast-rising star in landscape and wildlife photography, Blake deBock, who is based in Mammoth Lakes, where he has a marvellous gallery. Well worth a stop if you're visiting Mammoth, if only to soak in the atmosphere and view at some of his gorgeous nature photographs displayed there, some taken locally and some from as far away as Patagonia! If you love the outdoors and are interested in investing in photography, this is definitely the place to start -- or expand -- your collection. Blake is also a skilled tracker of wildlife that most people never get to see in a lifetime, and occasionally he will lead a private tour to see the wild mustangs of the Eastern Sierras and Mono Lake. My husband Alan and I have become friends with Blake and were treated to two tours to view Mustangs in and around Mammoth.

A beautifully appointed space with magnificent landscape and wildlife photographs, as well as small gifts such as miniature versions of the photos as note cards and coasters. We've known photographer-owner Blake de Bock for 2 years now, and he has guided us on trips to photograph mustangs at the far end of Mono Lake and beautiful vistas on the Rock Creek trail.
